If you're willing to put in the time every day to make a great cup then I'd say start here. *a little milk frother is a good idea too. My problem was that I like coffee but I don't drink more than a cup or two in the a.m. This thing turns out to be the answer. It does take a little effort, but I've found myself enjoying this little morning ritual, like there is a tangible barrier between my morning and the start of the day. Some things to consider: -It does take roughly 8mins to actually have your cup in hand, including clean up maybe 12mins total. -You'll need a timer (your phone'll do) and a Hand Grinder (if you're willing to put in this much effort then just put in the extra 2mins to grind whole beans) -I would suggest a Milk Frother (they're ~20 for a handheld one) and a Food Scale (for consistency, volume vs. mass, science and all that) -if you do buy this then put your thumb over the lid when pouring, the plastic expands at a different rate than the glass and it can get slippy when tilted. Doubley so if water actually gets in between the glass and plastic. If your curious here's what I do to get two standard sized mugs of joe, with steamed/frothed milk. TLDR version. 1. Grind coffee 2. Brew coffee for ~4mins 3. While brewing, froth milk in microwave. 4. Pour coffee in cup and pour the remainder into a separate container. Expanded (for just two cups) (W/food scale, measuring cup & handheld milk frother) (I set everything up by the microwave to make things easy) 1. Grind coffee, 1ounce (on food scale) for me. Pre-heat the French Press & mug. 2. Measure out ~15 fl. ounces of hot water. And some 3% milk in a microwaveable cup (I'd say over 1/3 of the mug you intend to fill.) 3. Start the timer and pour some hot water in the press, enough to soak the grinds and have them float a little, after 30 seconds pour in the rest. 4. At ~2:30 microwave the milk for 51secs, removing every 16secs to quickly stir with Frother, enough to get it a little foamy. At the end the milk should be warm and have little bubbles in it, it shouldn't be too foamy yet. 5. The Press should be ready, pour the coffee into the measuring cup and then half of that into the mug. Make sure the milk is still a little foamy and pour most of it in. Froth up the remaining milk until it is really really frothy. Dispense. 6. You can add ground spices (nutmeg, cinnamon & pumpkin come to mind) on top of the foam for a nice aromatic effect. 7. Enjoy (I've found that good coffee doesn't need sugar) 7.5 *make small changes if needed. This is supposed to be 'your' perfect cup after all.

I love this French press. First, I find stainless steel containers impart a metallic taste, and therefore this glass container ensures a clean coffee taste. Second, it is easy to use. Third, I never have had an issue with grinds getting into my pour. I use a very course grind, however. I take this with me when I travel. No issues with breakage and easy to clean.
