Defective clones of other products for sale on amazon at only a slightly higher price point.I actually ordered this in error thinking it was the other branded version to add to the other 4 units installed already to find this is a dangerous product.I am pretty sure this was used before I got it as one led reel had clearly been stuck on a surface before with some kind of wallpaper pattern.The adapter is dangerous, people are saying it gets hot.Not surprised is an unfused plug without any safety marks and a power output twice what the original non clone adapter came with.The led will get really hot because the resin coating which acts as a barrier and also prevents arcing contact with the microchips and capacitors is missing.All in all a nicely packaged house fire waiting to happen.Have reported as a non compliant product to amazon.This kind of product you are putting on wallpaper, wood and around soft furnishings should be a lot safer.

These lights are fantastic but you need to beware of the non-fused plug that doesn't comply with the British Standard (BS1363) and is a legitimate safety concern. That's why I've not given 5 stars.The wifi controller is tiny and intuitive to use and connects easily to SmartLife as long as you make sure your phone is also on a 2.4GHz wifi network. The standard light effects are quite impressive and the LED brightness is good.I'm happy to recommend these as long as you replace the IEC C13 cable, or cut the non-fused plug off and replace it with a genuine BS1363 plug with a 3 amp fuse!

This light strip is definitely a 50/50 product first of all for a dream colour light strip with Alexa function the price is absolutely spot on and a lot cheaper than other brands out there it works with Alexa perfectly and is very easy to set up if you know what your doing it may be a little tricky if your not very good with tech so that’s something to consider if buying this product its got plenty of length on it and it will fit round a 65-75 inch tv pretty easily the DIY colour options are really nice to use and look great too the strip itself feels well made and feels made of a good quality material BUT!!!!!! The biggest and only problem with this product by far is that it will not stay stuck on to anything for more that a few hours and its really annoying this product works perfectly but its let down by something so simple as not sticking and with these needing to be stuck to things its kind of a big issue its such a shame because without this issue i would highly recommend it and buy more of them but with this issue I can’t recommend it at all and i couldn’t be doing with fighting with another to stay on so i wont be buying anymore either they really do need to look into this and do something about it because the rest of the product and the price point is perfect so unfortunately I can’t recommend this

Read a few reviews of this and was a bit worried about the adhesive as I was running it up 2 walls,wood and then skirting. There's nothing else available though that does app, alexa and most importantly rainbow wave which is what I wanted so I put my worries aside and went with it. I'm more than happy with the product it stuck no problem to all 3 different surfaces,I think the people who complain about the sticking may have made an error in taking off the sticky double sided tape an error I too almost made where I started to take the whole sticker off then when it wasn't sticky at all underneath I started to panic thankfully it was only the start of the roll and I quickly realised that instead of pulling the whole thing off like an idiot I just pull off the tiny bit of paper like a plaster and away I went. Looks great sticks great and the app is great not to mention it works with alexa what more could u want

This kit was perfect for what I wanted. Provided a great mood lighting behind my tv with presets and also the ability to make my own light settings. Easily surrounded my 50” tv and like being able to control the lights with my phone and my Alexa. Great piece of kit, would thoroughly recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  Great value, no issues, stuck ok but needed a bit of extra glue in some places mainly due to the surface being very cold (installed outside). Effects are good, controllable via app or Alexa etc. Super value.

I did all the prep work previous and loved my new strip lights hidden round the room. They looked great and the app worked fine, though a little limited on colours compared to other apps, this seemed more about flashing and effects. The kids loved the music option.... all too soon though ( less than 24 hours) some leds failed on one strip and the colours after the failed lights stayed a light blue and couldn’t be changed. There’s no option now to replace as the sellers gone, luckily Amazon will refund me they say. I would love to keep the bits that work and take part refund but Amazon cannot do that.

After a couple of hours use, it turned off. I tried a couple of things and no power. I then tried something else in the plug socket on the wall and it turns out that the socket was entirely dead. It wasn't the fuse / RCD tripping, as all other appliances on the circuit were still on and working.I like the product - I have switched the plug out for a spare fused kettle lead that I had and it works described - but the plug that comes with this item is a real safety concern. It is small, goes in and out of a socket too easily / loosely. When I tested it in another socket, it flashed (but thankfully didn't kill that socket).So tomorrow I will be installing a new socket on the wall - not exactly ideal.
