I got this for my two year old nephew and he loves it!! Its so fun and easy to use for him. A great gift idea!

Once I turned them on, they looked completely different! They are quiet and seemingly safe! Very colorful! The kids love them! I attempted several times to take a photo, but the photo doesn’t capture the full colorful spinning circle. It only shows small specks and lines of color. When turned on, they first spin like a fan blade, but as it builds up speed in mere seconds, it spins in circles throwing several colors of light forming a sphere! If the kids stick their fingers in as it’s spinning, it’s not painful. The only thing I can think of that might happen, is if a child with long hair got the spinner caught in their hair! THAT could be a problem. The photo looks like the spinner is enclosed in a plastic bubble, but it’s not. It takes on the appearance of a round bubble once it begins spinning fast. (I have no way of knowing how badly it could get caught up in hair, or if it would just stop spinning?)

My daughter has special needs and usually is entertained by this type of toy. I'm reluctant to give it to her to hold as she can get her fingers stuck because there is no cover over the spinning parts

I had to hold it for the 18 month-old because of parts (plastic arms with bulbs) that stick out that can’t be seen when it is moving. He was fascinated with it, but it could easily hurt a child if placed close to the face. However, the 5 year-old held it herself, understanding not to hold it close to her face. Do not know, yet, about durability.

When they work, they are great..trouble is, they dont work for long. One broke after a week with a special needs child, it was not thrown around but very loved and went through 2 sets of batteries before quitting, and the second, which was NOT even used by children, but as a therapy tool to gain attention during sessions, broke on the second day and won't spin when right side up. I will not be buying them again.

I bought a couple for my nephews, both on the autism spectrum with different developmental delays (toddlers age 3 and 5), and both were fascinated but them. Gave it 4 out of 5 stars for durability since within days the spinning kind of slowed down because they kept stopping it trying to touch the lights. But otherwise for the price yo can't beat it, something BOTH kids liked and stay engaged with is rare. Would definitely recommend as a nice gift for any budget and the lights looked just as pictured when it was on.
