Just want I needed!

Had to wash in hot water and hot drier to shrink. Really need elastic, or another adjustment.

I've looked for a hat like this for years: Foreign Legion style with the neck flaps to protect the back of your neck from the sun during hot weather. I've bought several other shirts from the Rapid Dominance brand and they've always been of good quality. Sizing is true to size. I normally wear an XL or 7 1/4 for my hat size (L-XL), fit perfectly.Pros:1. Good quality construction and material. Not too thick, making it perfect for hot weather2. Sizing is good3. Neck flaps are perfect size. Not too long, not too large.Cons:None that I can see.

Arrived quickly. Hat is as described and excellent sun protection. Fun to wear.

Nice hat for working outside. I use it when I am mowing the grass. The back flap is really great for keeping the sun from burning my neck, it does the job. Only reason I did not give it 4 or 5 stars is for one, the sizing. You cannot really tell what size you need. They only make large and largest and neither one is adjustable.What reason is there for it not to be adjustable ?, why cant they just cut some vents in either side and add a velcro strap that go around the back, over top of the back flap. Then you would have a one size fits all hat. I ended up buying both large and largest and the large fit my head fine. The largest seems to have been made for guys the size of Andre the giant or Hulk Hogan.It is also not the most fashionable looking hat, It sure aint no French Foreign Legion hat. Sacre Bleu ! This one looks more like a WW2 Afrika Korps hat but goofier. A white visor and royal blue cap with white back flap would be more foreign legionish. As well, they could make the flap in the back longer and detachable, so you could wipe your sweat in the sahara like in those old foreign legion movies.Quality is good enough, it survived its first couple of washes in the machine. If you just want a working hat that protects your neck from the sun and makes you look like Erwin Rommel would have if he had to mow the grass, this is the chapeau for you mon amis.

This is exactly as it appears. The quality of both the workmanship and the materials seem to be excellent; only time will tell. This is a bargain; I hope that, if you decide to purchase it, you will agree.

I read in the comment and review before I considered purchasing this hat. The size was mentioned by a person with a "big head" that the L/XL was too big. I ordered a M/S even though my forehead measures somewhere between 23-24 inches and found the hat to be slightly tight. I'm considering ordering the next size up since I like the material and the style. This hat I'll probably give to my daughter or my grand daughter. Anyway, it's a good hat in my opinion and worth the cost.

Has saved my neck many days in Ecuador.
