Unbelievable!
Holly buckets Batman! What an awesome pond pump! I'm blown away by the water pressure. I built a 7,200 gallon two-tear pond with a waterfall 12 years ago and have been using a pump that required priming every time the power went out or the filter began to plug up. After 12 years my old pump began to run slower and slower and a couple of weeks ago I just couldn't keep it running. I gave up and finally pulled the old pump out and went on-line in search of a bigger and better automatic on and off, no primping required pump and found the Patriot LE5500. I read the reviews, submitted some questions and was encouraged by the responses. So, I purchased the Patriot, received the pump yesterday and set it up today. It didn't take long to stretch out 30 feet of 2 inch hose. I anchored the Patriot to a plastic milk crate and held it down with a 10 pound weight. I also purchased a recommended plastic filter bag to help keep out some of the debris. The bag was pretty big, so I cut it down to size and wrapped it around the base of the pump. I probably spent about an hour setting everything up. I climbed out of the pond, took off my chest waiters and flipped on the power... The waterfall exploded with a powerful roar. I had never seen so much water come out of that waterfall. I didn't realize that I had done such a great job on building the pond and it took the Patriot pump to show me just how nice it could really be. I'm completely impressed with this pump and whole heartedly recommend the Patriot for anyone with a back yard pond who wants to enjoy the full potential of their pond.

Strong Pond and Waterfall Pump
I installed this pump one week ago and so far itโs working perfectly. I connected it to the โHALF OFF PONDS Variable Speed Control for Pond Pumpsโ to vary the speed. My only complaint is the way the pump connects to the 2โ pipe. On my previous HALF OFF PONDS Pump, there were two bolts that could be removed that would allow the connector to be screwed onto the 2โ pipe and then connected to the pump with the two bolts. The pump designed has changed and now there are two screws that attach to loose nuts that are inside the pump. I ended up removing the two bottom sections to get to the loose nuts and then glued them to the undercarriage. They only had to hold long enough to get the screws started. Other than that, the installation went well and the pump works well.

No maintenance works great must buy
This pump for my water feature was fantastic. The waterfalls flow was consistent only had to clean the pump one time all summer for a little debris. This pump allows small debris to pass through it. My last pump was an older style, and I would constantly have to clean that once a week. This is made me enjoy the water feature so much more they must have.

Pond pump
Pump got here overnight. It replaced my Triton 6000 with no change in performance. It is supplying water to a 50 ft cascading water fall stream in my back yard. 24/7 run time. Will let you know about longevity later.

Great pump!
Great pump for the price! Made a huge difference in the flow of my ponds waterfall! Compact enough to fit in my skimmer.

Quiet and Powerful Pump
I replaced a pond pump that was noisy and eventually failed. I was very concerned about having sufficient head pressure to push water through a very long 1-1/2" plastic conduit requiring a lift of 21ft with a flow of 2,900 gph. The Pond Pulse Pump PP5500 fit my requirements exactly. The flow curve for the pump was as advertised and the pump performs well. My concern was stepping down the conduit size from 2" (pump exit size) to 1-1/2", but not a concern. The pump is very quiet and was easy to install. Not sure about longevity since I operate the pump infrequently, not continuously.

Looks like a good pump.
So far, so good. Just need to review back after about a year to see how it is working then. I believe we will be happy with it.
