Does it come in plastic?

Yes it was wrapped in plastic .. it’s smells wonderful , and It still has a lot of smell to it after almost 5 months :-) hope that helps

This plush is not packaged in a box.

can you wash it in the washing machine?

I would assume on a gentle/hand wash cycle but it would probably take away the strawberry scent. I've never washed it.
