great coffee, poor k-cup design
Taste is very subjective, so reviewing a food or beverage based on taste can be difficult. Personally, I enjoy the taste of this coffee and it is now my "go to" dark roast. This is a dark, smooth, and bold roast. Gevalia is a Swedish company, so their coffee tends to be darker and bolder, which is favored in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.*IMPORTANT NOTE*Keurig's patents on the K-Cup capsule design expired in 2012, which unfortunately flooded the market with generic K-Cup capsule designs. Gevalia uses one of these generic designs which has a slightly different shape and has ridges on the sides. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have pointed out, this capsule design does not seem to work well in Keurig brewers. However, there is a simple fix for this problem which should work every time: When you put the Gevalia K-Cup in the brewer, push it down to manually puncture the bottom, then close the top and brew like normal.

No Grounds, No problems, Best coffee I've ever had. Hands down.
So here is the story:I went to Sweden for a few months. Hated coffee before going (but still had a Keurig machine, don't ask), fell in love with Sweden's super strong coffee. But we don't really have much of that in the US. So my solution was to get Gevalia K Cups, since Gevalia is a Swedish company, and the Royal Dark pods are made with the same dark coffee served at the Swedish royal palace (supposedly).I was really hesitant due to the many bad reviews. But I had none of these problems.Maybe it had to do with certain models of Keurig machines, or maybe it has to do with very few shipments of coffee, but none of mine had coffee grounds, none of mine had puncture problems, nothing. Instead, I was greeted with a cup of heaven, hands down the best coffee I've ever had. Amazing.I love to brew the night before, refrigerate, and enjoy iced coffee the next day. Sure, it isn't fresh, but it also isn't watered down from all the ice. Amazing with Bailey's coffee creamer (non alcoholic, of course), and a little chocolate syrup if you're feeling adventurous.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, CHANGED MY LIFE.

Great flavor, great price on auto order.
While generally higher priced coffee the 4 pack is cheaper overall. This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I love dark roast coffees and Gevalia Dark Roast is my choice. No bitterness, very smooth and rich flavor. My co-workers will sometimes hint around for a pod which I do share occasionally.

Tastes good. Good Value.
The coffee tastes as good or better than any other K-Cup coffees I have tried. I like that with the dark roast that I can run one cup through 2 times to make a LARGE mug of coffee and it still has quite good flavor. Many others just go full weak after the first run through. I would purchase again. No one gave me these KCups, I paid my own good money for them.

Really, really good
We have a Keurig at work so I am trying various brands of k-cups. These are the best. I'll be buying the ground coffee for my percolator at home.update: the pods are no longer available of Subscribe and Save and I cannot find it in the stores. The other amazon options are too expensive. Boo! Searching for another Kcup brand. Continuing to buy the ground coffee in the dark royal roast (the house blend is much to weak, as all brands of house blends are)
