WP228 - Popular Hymns Level 2

I've been learning piano (in my old age) for about a year. My teacher said I'd enjoy this book and she was absolutely right. I was able to play many beloved old church hymns immediately. Some have required a little work, but that just adds to the sense of accomplishment. I play these hymns every day. And repeatedly bang out the Battle Hymn of the Republic much to my husband's dismay. Buy it if you're a beginner. It's a fun book. I wish more of the supplementary Bastien books were available on Amazon.

I'm a beginner with only 5 months of lessons under my belt. I purchased this book along with the Level 1 book. I read notes well enough to learn most of the songs in the Level 2 book, but I feel that they are still a little too difficult for me enjoy the experience. However, I'm currently working in the Level 1 book and progressing well and I expect the same when I start working out of this book.

I love this book.Various hymns are arranged for level 2 piano skills.

This piano series has Christmas and Hymn books available in a variety of levels from extremely easy to advanced.Not everyone learns or even remembers the church hymns, so it is a pleasure to find a good piano book to help students learn them.Nearly everyone knows Christmas classics, and these piano books make it possible for anyone to learn to play their favorite song.

Would have liked to know what type of music was in the book. What level the child needed to be at to play these songs. A peek at some of the songs would have been helpful. My child is not ready for this book. So I am continuing my search for an appropriate book.Some day he will use it..so thank you:)
