Has anyone received Series 2 for this purchase of the six piece set?

No I haven't heard if a second set. However I wouldn't purchase them. The parts are very small and hard for child to use. Regular size are the best.

Do the parts come off these or are they permanently fixed?

The parts come off. It’s just like a normal mr.potato head just mini.
