I ordered this art even though some reviews out there scared me a bit (some customer pictures really worried me). I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Each of the 5 portions of the painting was individually and carefully wrapped in plastic, with the corners protected by cardboard. Either I got very lucky and my particular artist got a good night's sleep, or he/she simply took pride in their work, but this was a legit painting and it was shiny-ish, not dull looking (though my attached picture doesn't really depict the shine, but it's as glossy as a painting can be). Exactly as pictured on Amazon. I hung them over my bed (see attached pictures of the finished product) after having to do quite a bit of math and measuring :-) and it is exactly what I wanted. I see it as I go to bed, and it has the calming, peaceful effect that I need to help me sleep.

When I opened these I thought "oh man they are tiny!!" But when you get them up on the wall, they seem appropriately sized to me. I hung them above my king sized headboard and they look fantastic! I love the moon.Probably could have done with out the extra little bits of oil paint they dabbed on to make it look like a real oil painting, but from all viewing angles in my room, you can't even tell once it is on the wall. I am glad I purchased this!For those who said the quality was not good, uhm...what kind of art are you expecting for this price ? sheesh..lolI recommend not giving a review until you have seen it up on the wall like it should be displayed.

SantinArt which is who I ordered mine from look great and just as I expected. I do not believe these to be fully hand painted, but printed then details added, but for the price they look great. I love that they aren't framed because I was able to hang them with a small nail given that I rent an apartment. You need to be careful who you buy this from check the seller because all the reviews are in the same area all from different sellers. You can see on the mid right side from other sellers that's how you pick. As I said I bought this painting from Santin Art. I paid $30 for it and I think it look wonderful. These did have a strong smell to them at first, but it faded. They were also packaged well no damage done to them at all. Over all this is not fully hand painted, but I believe a print that's touched up and for the price I feel its okay, but I did see others that looked better in images on reviews. I bought another painted from this seller that looked much better than this one that is more basic on details. As another reviewer said yes there is a paint blotch on the moon in a bit of an attempt to make it look hand painted, but it is not 100% hand painted.

I bought a matching duvet that was from Amazon too. It is black and white and this oil painting couldn't match any better. It looks so awesome.The whole room looks completely different and I love it. This oil painting was packaged like it was very delicate. Each corner protected and theneach piece wrapped in plastic. One box was placed inside a larger box and all was delivered on time in perfect condition. This is a beautiful oil ofthe moon and the reflection it gives off. I live on a lake and this is the exact scene I see every full moon. I would buy another one if I had a place toput it. VERY NICE!!!!

In terms of bang for the buck, this and my bed frame were the two best purchases I made for my new apt. However, when I bought it, it was $16.. don't know if I would have bought it at $28. And by the way this is not hand-painted... I think everything is a print except for the moon which is at least partially hand painted but looks nothing like the picture here... I actually would have preferred a print. but for $16... all day, I'll buy it all day... don't know about $28 where it's posted now.

I am a very positive person and try to see the positive perspective in everything. However, I DO NOT LIKE THIS PAINTING at least to hang in my living room or bedroom. I would possibly put in a area of my home people would not assume to go-like my laundry room, garage, a room to lounge, or perhaps a guest room. The wood appearance is defiantly a turn off. It did say before ordering wood frame, but since this is my first time ordering pictures-I took a chance. I will never order a wood based frame painting again. The painting is not glossy as it appears. The picture is wood and paint. I paid $40.00 and want my money back -to return it. If I paid $ 20.00 I would deal with it. Something told me to cancel my order when I had the chance, now I have to go the hassle to return and wait for refund. I would keep it because it was not a whole lot of money spent and a lesson learned, but am highly disappointed. Nevertheless am somewhat willing to go through the hassle of returning. From my perspective- the sea look is OK-mine you nothing as it appears, but moon setting is horrible. It looks like no time was put into painting and it only took them maybe 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Like the painter said -OK let me hurry up and get this done. Very deceiving advertisement.
