Nice and compact. I wouldn't call the light "Cold White". In my garden I have a few cold white LED lights and compared to those this device is definitely warm..ish light. Very bright for 1W. Not sure how long the 3 AA batteries will last? The PIR motion detector works well and turns the light on for 20 seconds. Long enough to get your keys out and into the door lock. Light sensor prevents the light from coming on in daylight which should save on battery usage.

I am impressed with these little things, the amount of light they give out is impressive for something powered from 3AA batteries, if there is an issue is trying to get these thing level is quite hard, there isn't a flat point where you could put a level so it needs to be done by eye with variable results. I did like the way the rear plate if screwed on get sealed by the rubber adhesive pad, nice touch that shows a bit of thought has gone into it.

Overall the detector works well and goes on (night time only) for 20 seconds. If the sensor is variable, which I think I've read elsewhere, I can't find the setting. Picks up movement from about 4 meters. The light does exactly what it says, lights downwards but with a fairly small field. It's pretty small so if you want substantial amounts of light this might not be for you. Found the back quite difficult to get off, no release button so needs to be forced a bit. Came supplied with batteries, which is good. Downside for me, hence the 3* rating overall, is that the screws provided for wall installation were tiny (approx 15mm) and no rawl plugs supplied. So to mount outdoors on brickwork or in wood, for a studiness you'll probably need to use your own screws and appropriate rawl plugs. Nice enough product and good value, but as I needed to provide my own screws for wall-mounting, 3*.
