Great book
Sleep is a subject we always disregard we just know we have to sleep 7-8 hours but this book is very interesting to understand the meaning and how to have a good quality of sleep. Recommended

Not optional, it’s an obligation to read this book.
We all know that sleep is important, in this book the ‘Why’ question gets thoroughly and methodically answered in layman’s words. Love it, it’s my favorite book of the year so far!

Brilliant book
Excellent book that really details sleep and tells you just how important it is. It's written in a very easy to read structure and makes it accessible to even those who don't have a technical background. For such an important function of life, we really don't know know much about sleep but Matthew Walker does a fantastic job describing the details.

Bad quality paper back
Everything is fine except the front cover is cheap like paper, with no gloss on it. Returned

This is mass market paperback
Im a type of person that really cares about paper quality and book smells. This is not a paperback but a mass market paperback, which was not mentioned in the description. The 2 stars are in no way related to the book or the author, but the quality of papers and a too big print.

Everything you need to know about your sleep
This is a "must have" book for all health professionals! Matthew Walker delivers a thorough review of the latest research on sleep in a very readable and entertaining style. Mental health professionals can really improve their essential knowledge base with this book. There is so much to learn about circadian rhythm, light pollution, sleep stages, sleep hygiene, and sleep habits! You will be surprised at how much data is available. And you will quickly be influenced to be far more serious about getting a healthy. amount of quality sleep! I strongly recommend this book to anyone with a sleep disorder or anyone who helps others with mental or general physical health.

Excellent book, very informative!
I learned a lot of things about sleep, this book is great and Matthew knows his so much subject as he is one of the best sleep expert scientist in the world.I even subscribed to the Masterclass platform in part to watch his video Masterclass, which is essentially a condensed version of the book but to hear him talk with passion about his subject was very complementary to the book. He is very well articulated and speaks clearly. Conclusion: Everyone should read this book. Sleep is so underrated in our society.

Great book, inspirational
First I listened to Mathew Walker on various podcasts’ channels.I loved reading the book, it was packed with tons of interesting info, but honestly… it made me a bit paranoid and turned me into a horrible selfish partner obsessed with chasing the perfect anti-aging healing sleep. Especially so when paired with an Apple Watch!Every morning when I saw interruptions in my sleep (there were tons, because of course: loo visits, my partner arriving late from work, going to bed with his phone and in the darkness using his screen as a light pointed towards sleeping me to find the bed, his phone not silenced, starting work super early but his alarm so loud it would wake up a dead person and gave me heart palpitations etc) Of course the Apple Watch showed the erratic sleeping line in the morning and I was even more upset. We have two beds now btw.I am 44yrs old now but I always liked to sleep at night. Going to bed early, waking up naturally, feeling amazing. When you are single you can work with your sleep a bit easier. OR you blame only yourself for bad sleep. When you get into a relationship forget about your previous good habits! And then you start a family so forget about the sleep altogether. I packed that idea so childless and still chasing the perfection. This book makes you aware how important is sleep for all parts of your being. But sometimes ignorance is bliss. You might drive yourself to degradation and early death but at least you can feel somewhat ok about it if you don’t have all the stats.I got rid off Apple Watch and wear Whoop now which is a little easier on waking times during the night and works with other metrics regarding sleep/so it puts it all into perspective with other markers and it’s not as depressive. Although…I highly recommend the book to anyone who doesn’t take sleep and recharge seriously (sadly I wasn’t successful to push it on my boyfriend).I do not recommend the book to people who are perfectionists or chase the perfection.
