In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Great basic spike for a young person
These are a good basic spike with lightly cushioned sole. I purchased these for my 14 year old. They are great for her as they have a touch more structure and heel padding than a few of the other brands we tried. For reference, she wear a 10.5 in brooks running shoes. We ordered an 11 in these and they fit well.

Check to make sure all spikes are in the box
The shoes are very pretty and fits very well. However, she is missing two spikes for her shoes. Not cool!

Always Order 1/2 Size Up
Rule of thumb with any sprinting flat is to order the next 1/2 size up--so for me, I ordered size 10.5 and it fits me perfectly. Very comfortable and no need to be broken in. Highly recommend.

Fit perfect to size.
Purchased for grandaughter. She is breaking school records wearing these spikes. Love the color and fit!!!. Will reorder for both girls (twin Seniors) next years track events. They even went to States!!

Small and narrow. I'll return them and ask for refund
I bought these shoes for my 13 years old daughter, and despite having skinny feet, the shoes didn't feit well, I'll have to return them.

Great Spikes!
I had read the reviews that these shoes run small, so we ordered a size larger. They are great for narrow feet. Purchased them for my daughters first season of track and she absolutely loved them.
