Does this help with face scars?

Hi Hernandez, Thanks for the question! Recently a company called Surface Laboratoires did a study on microneedling and its affects on scars. Here is an excerpt from their findings: "Perfect on the severity of the scars, dermaroller can be quite effective on fading mild to moderate acne scars. Generally, there are a few types of acne scars: keloids (raise or hypertrophic scars), indented scars (rolling scars, box scars or Icepick scars), and hyperpigmented scars. Dermaroller has proven to be effective for most acne scars except keloids (raised and hypertrophic scars). Dermaroller can help fade acne scars, reduce fine lines and tighten the skin. ... The benefits from using a Dermaroller are aplenty, such as to tighten and thicken skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, prevents premature aging, reduce hyper-pigmentation, fade stretch marks and acne scars" As someone that is new to microneedling just make sure to do a bit of homework and make sure you are being as safe as you can. How to use your derma roller ? 1. Sterilize roller in alcohol solution before and after each use. 2. Wash and pat skin dry. 3. Apply pressure. Roll back and forth in desired area for 4 - 5 times. Switch direction. 4. Apply moisturizer or repairing serum after use. 5. Use 2-3 times a week. 6. Replace roller once every 1 - 2 months if using frequently and store in plastic case. How to clean your derma micro needle roller ? 1. Rinse roller in warm water. 2. Sanitize with alcohol and let it air dry. 3. After cleaning your derma roller, place in the storage that is provided. Do not use around eyes and on lips. Do not use on acne, open wounds, irritated skin, rash, and inflamed skin. Discontinue if skin is continuously irritated and allergic. Good morning Bruce, Thanks so much for messaging us your question! 1.We don't recommend using our derma roller by itself. Your skin needs hydration after rolling. We recommend using a hydrating serum,vitamin C serum or hyaluronic acid. No retinols or anything harsh! 2.This entirely depends on how often you are using it. If you don't have sensitive skin, and are using 3 or 4 times a week. You will be able to use our roller for 1 to 2 months. It's similar to a razor. When it gets dull, it's time to replace it.
