I bought this vacuum from Amazon for my workplace and couldn’t be happier. It’s lightweight, powerful, and easy to maneuver—perfect for both carpets and hardwood floors. The strong suction and versatile attachments make cleaning simple and efficient.What really impressed me was the outstanding service from the seller, ToolUp. When the 10-pack of dust bags was missing from the box, they responded quickly, contacted the manufacturer, and followed up to ensure the bags would be sent. This vacuum has a major design flaw that can be addressed by building a baffle similar to what you see in the pictures.I bought two of these vacuums over a year ago for our church, and they have been great other than the suction was lacking and the full bag indicator would come on long before the bag was was even close to full. I finally realized that the problem was that the bag was getting sucked into the HEPA filter causing a major restriction. After building a baffle for them out of perforated metal that would keep the bag from being sucked against the filter, the vacuums function like they should. They have great suction all the way till the bags are completely full.I love Makita tools, but they really dropped the ball on this one. All is well that ended well though.

This vacuum is great for carpets!!!! Easily goes from carpet to hard floor. The on board wand makes it quick to get corners. No stopping to take it apart for hand held duties. Plus I have a ton of Makita 18v batteries for all my other tools, so I always have fresh batteries!!!

Most of the cordless vacuums out there have inherent limitations and this one is no different in that respect. However, I found that the combination of the collection bag and Hepa filter creates a positive user experience compared with manually emptying a canister. It is not as powerful as a corded vacuum, but I haven’t noticed a lack of suction and the bag definitely fills with gross stuff I didn’t know was there. The onboard suction tube is convenient and works well enough to clean corners when using the crevice tool which is also stowed onboard.I’m able to clean my 2000 sf home with a single charge of 5 amp-hour batteries. A bag change is required every 2-3 cleans of the same area.My wife complains that it is heavy, and her friends joke that it looks like something a janitor would use (and it does), but I like the way it looks. The abs shell and engineering for the Hepa filtration system definitely add to the weight, but I’d rather have a clean running, easily serviceable machine than a lightweight machine that spews microscopic dust or makes a mess when emptying. There would only be a problem with the Makita design if the bag were significantly over filled by someone without the sense to change the bag when the overfill warning indicator illuminates, and this may be too much to expect from normal users.The vacuum was less expensive than a Miele cordless, but more than LG alternatives. These smaller, lightweight vacs require frequent, messy canister dumps.Since I have numerous tools already using the Makita batteries and chargers, it was not a difficult decision for me to adopt this one.Update 9/2023.The vacuum is mostly as reviewed but have found that the vacuum tube can clog somewhat easily and cause debris to back up—and is time consuming and messy to clear the clogged tube. This clogging is not associated with the capacity of the collection bag so no warning is given by the vacuum overflow sensor that the issue occurring.

The media could not be loaded. I dont like that it doesn't have as much suction as the back pack vac, very disappointing. The vacuum is too expensive for what it is, but it is a huge time saver to have a battery powered vacuum and it does what it's supposed to do most of the time. I have to go over a dirty area more than once to get all the debris but it does eventually get everything as far as I can tell

The vacuum works extremely well. We purchased it for our company and it is used daily. The cleaning people love it because they do not have to worry about where outlets are. Very handy and I would purchase this again.Is a little heavier than we originally expected, but since everything else is amazing- we rarely think about it.

Overall, would not buy again.

I own a janitorial company that operates in the Ocean City MD area! This vacuum travels with me exclusively. I love everything about this vacuum from durability, efficiency, battery time, etc. Two things that would make this 5 star one would be if it was bagless and two the vacuum clogs pretty quick compared to others. However the product is great the way it is and if you take care of equipment it’s worth the price.
