Pleasant Surprise
When I ordered this (new) for the reasonable price of 6 bucks plus some change, I went into it with the assumption that it wouldn't be the greatest viewing quality, since 3 movies are on one dvd (one side, not both). When I received it, I spot checked it on two different TVs, one a 16X9 digital, and one a 32 inch analog. On both sets, I was pleasantly surprised at the viewing quality. I found no problem with it at all, and since I'd seen Clearcut years ago on vhs, I find this dvd to better quality than the old vhs. The movies appear to have been remastered, but are full screen, which isn't a problem with me. As far as interactive features, it is bare bones, with only one clicking feature, which is for selecting the movie(s) themselves. No chapter selections or anything else, but who cares about all that stuff when the picture quality is the important thing. I have to surmise that the dvd is dual layer, which would be the only way the company could get the three movie on in that kind of quality. The movies are all in their original rated form, so there are no worries about TV prints or any other edited sources. This is my first review, after being an Amazon customer for years, so it was important for me to get the word out on this particular item, considering the other review. As for the movies themselves, Clearcut is a given, excellent film, with great performance by Graham Green. It has a very good co-star, Ron Lea, who co-starred in the Canadian "Happy Birthday To Me", among many other films. Red Surf is fun to see George Clooney in an early role that looks to be a lively B picture. The Living End is just plain goofy, but interesting to watch once. In short: great product, great seller (EkekoStore), and gratitude for being able to obtain a rare, high quality dvd.

condition of product
Receiving the product was fine. The condition well that is another story. Finger prints on top and bottom of disk.Light scratches. It did play but had cliches here and there while playing. I took it to my local movie store had it buffed. All good now.On the reviews there was another buyer who had similar problems with disk conditions from this Seller.Out of the three movies Clear Cut #1 greatRed Surf #2 was actually not a bad storyThe living Dead #3 not good at all.But I bought it for the movie Clear Cut. The other movies were just a bonus when I purchased it.So to the seller I would say @ least preview your disks and clean them up before shipping.

Clearcut is excellent and makes this worth buying-- sad about the poor transfer and Screen Ratio
This is a very hard DVD to find, with Clearcut as one of the movies. I got it for about half of the current asking price. The movie stars Graham Green, in an excellent emotion draining performance. The movie is very violent and graphic.A lawyer goes to a reservation where a large corporation is clearcutting and delivers bad news that the Natives won't be able to stop the corporation from cutting down their beloved land that serves as home to hunting, fishing and living. When the chief asks what can be done next the lawyer joking says some graphic things that could be performed on the CEO of the company. Later while in his hotel room, Graham Greene shows up to the lawyer's door offering to fulfill the revenge on the corporation that the lawyer mentioned in jest. From here the movie gets quite graphic and much of the atrocities that have been inflicted on many tribes over the years, some of them very horrifying. Greene goes through the movie exacting revenge on the said CEO.This movie is an emotional roller coaster and one of Graham's great performances. I recommend this movie to everyone to understand the plight of the Natives in North America. The ending is well done and thought provoking. This is an older movie that was transferred over poorly from VHS and so the aspect ratio suffer. The image is slightly sharper due to it now being a digital copy, but still not as crisp as if it had been "cleaned up" and properly transferred from an original film copy. However, it is such an excellent movie I suffered through the poor quality and terrible screen ratio because I enjoyed the content of the movie so much.I wish the company that has the rights to do a proper transfer would step forward and do the right thing-- make it a modern tape-to-digital copy and give it the right screen ratio. It would be a beautiful move-- the scenery to the movie is already gorgeous as it's filmed in the Northwest part of Canada, with large mountains, lots of water and lush greenery.Clearcut is worth the watch. I don't know anything about the other two movies, I've had no interest in watching them, I bought this DVD to watch Graham Greene in one of his greatest performances.

CLEARCUT: a Jungian gem.
I cannot speak for the cult classics Red Surf or The Living Dead, but CLEARCUT is a remarkable and underrated Jungian parable of ecological egoism. Graham Greene is fantastic in the lead role.

Excellent condition...NOT
Since we have so many DVDs, we invested in a smaller professional DVD/CD cleaner & scratch remover. This used DVD was listed as being in excellent condition. It was NOT. I was dismayed to say the least. Fortunately, our unit was able to repair the deep scratches it had and I popped it in and so far so good though we haven't watched all 3 movies yet. At least it plays now. I wanted the movie Clearcut so the other two additional flicks were a bonus. The video quality is ok and you're getting what you pay for at $5. It was worth the risk in the end, but I will be leary of getting used movies now.

This movie is now one of my favorites. I love Graham Greene, and his character, Arthur, the spirit was awesome!
