Absolutely lovely! It took about 2 hours to heat up and it’s been working perfectly so far.

So I bought my daughter one of these as a replacement for one she bought and was nonoperational. Hers looked great right out of the package. The liquid was a clear pink. We have been using it every day for three days and it's perfect.Seeing how much I liked it my husband encouraged me to buy one for myself. I just opened the box and the blue liquid is very cloudy. Can't see through it at all. It doesn't look like the pictures posted by other customers. I'm heating it up for the first time now and keeping my fingers crossed. I was really looking forward to this. If it clears up I will update my review. If not I'll contact the seller and hopefully they can help me like they did their other customers who had the same issue.It didn't work. The wax melted and started moving but the liquid is so cloudy I can barely see the wax. I returning it and getting a replacement sent. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. At least my daughter's lamp works well.Edit: The defective lamp was picked up and the replacement delivered literally the day after I posted my review. They even offered me a full refund even though I had already gotten the new one. Can't ask for better customer service. The last picture is the replacement lamp. Looks so cool 😎

Update to initial review:They responded via email within two hours and it was a very simple solution and support was prompt. For that reason I will give them a five. Things happen and they handled it well. It was very convenient to access support . The lamp is gorgeous and working like magic!Original Review:It was beautiful and I loved the look of the lamp. I was careful to read the instructions and not leave it on too long. It advises against longer than 12 hours of use. I never kept in more than 8 hours.Unfortunately the coil came loose on the bottom and the wax just stays in a blob now. I have emailed the manufacturer so we will find out what they do next.

edit : the company was super nice and sent me a new one! the new one isn't as bright as i had hoped still BUT the liquid isn't cloudy in this one! really grateful they sent me another one. the purple against the blue is really pretty.i wish i had tested this before the return window was up i was not able to as i was put on bed rest for a high risk pregnancy and was just now able to test it. i got this because it reminded me of my childhood and i wanted something calming for my room and then eventually for the baby's room. very disappointed in this. it's sooo not bright, to the point that you can barely see anything moving around in there whether it's daytime or nighttime. it's only visible in complete pitch black darkness. and yes the lamp is on. it's ridiculous. i'm extremely disappointed in the product and disappointed that i'm past the return window. i would give zero stars if i could. also takes WAY too long to heat up.

I got this 16" Lava lamp as a gift for my tween daughter, and it was exactly what she wanted! It takes a little time to warm up, but once it does, it's absolutely beautiful to watch. The flow of the lava is mesmerizing, and she loves how it adds a calming, fun vibe to her room. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn’t get as hot as the lava lamps from the '90s, so I feel safer with it around my younger child who loves to touch everything. That said, it still does get warm, so I’d recommend avoiding direct contact with it. Overall, it’s a fun, low-maintenance gift that adds a cool retro touch without the risk of getting too hot. Definitely a win!

TLDR: give this lamp a day or two to heat up!The day that I received this lava lamp, I left it plugged in for the recommended 5 hours and the wax stayed stuck on the bottom of the lamp. I left it on for probably 20 hours total, and eventually the “lava” floated up from the bottom but became stuck at the top. VERY small bubbles of wax would occasionally come from th the top or bottom, but never the fun large blobs like you’d expect.Customer service was INCREDIBLE with this company; as soon as I reached out, they helped me to troubleshoot and offered to send a replacement for no extra cost. I’d all but given up on this lamp and was looking forward to my new one, but lo behold, 2 days later my lava lamp works PERFECTLY! The little “bits” floating around in the lamp also are gone now (must’ve been in integrated wax bits). I’m so pleased with how it turned out after a few days.

The media could not be loaded. The overall design is nice, it’s not as sturdy and durable as the original Lava lamps but these are super bright and the lava actually rolls around. Very calming and pretty, but the lamp gets HOT. Just don’t place it right next to something!
