The excitement of a male doll with facial hair was hilarious. We purchased the set to help my child process the history lessons they are getting and act out with the dolls. The set also prompted independent study into the costumes and customs of the era. The dolls are beautiful and my child was quick to point out the sword’s hilt has a matching gem to that on the dress, really tying in the details.

These dolls are exquisite. The detailing on Ken's clothing is amazing, golden woven thread to simulate metal and burgundy velvet. The Barbie is lovely too, with auburn hair and light green eyes. Her gown is silky, with flowing sleeves and a pretty pearl on her head piece. Even though these specialty dolls cost more than regular barbies, they are worth the cost. A must have addition for any serious collector.
