Playing With Taboo
This is my second book purchased in the Toybag series. I Love the book. This is something I recommend for newbies and veterans of the BDSM lifestyle. It is very freeing to read this. If you have a lot of shame and want to feel better about yourself. I recommend it. Well written. Although not for the faint of heart. So beware heavy topics are talked about.

Recommended Reading for Taboo Players!
I love Mollena Williams and that is why I bought this in the first place and I was not at all disappointed in my purchase either. I love the topics she covered and also the fact that she constantly mentions to the reader to ponder the reason why they are delving into these taboo types of play.

Toybag Guide perfect for your toybag!
Mollena Williams' "Playing with Taboo" is a great starter booklet for those with thoughts and sexual desires that are decidedly *not* mainstream. It's a quickie sane/safe guide to exploring so-called forbidden topics like scat, race play, bloodplay, bestiality and gang-rape. I don't think it's meant to be an in-depth guide to those topics, more of a general overview designed to provide a nonjudgmental jumping-off point. Mollena talks about her thoughts and feelings with humor and a fresh, modern and sharp-witted take on age-old issues. This quick read is designed and published by Greenery Press to be tossed into your toybag for reference and consideration. Mollena has the chops (and awards) to back up her assertions and while I may not be into what she discusses, it's refreshing to see taboo topics discussed in an adult manner. If I had a complaint, it would be that the guide could use a more thorough proofreading. But that's a minor complain that doesn't detract from the quality of the minibook.

Short, but great read.
I adore Mollena Williams and the work she does to educate people on BDSM, kink, and sex in general. I also love how she speaks on racial issues from her perspective as a black woman. This book was an enjoyable and interesting read; I only wish it were longer and more detailed. The beauty of the book is that it introduces some kinky taboos and does a good job of explaining why certain people may be interested in such taboos and ways in which they can be practiced ethically, safely, and with consent. I also appreciate how this book makes clear that there is always risk when playing with taboo topics. However, each section is unfortunately very short. I would have loved to have more information about the history of each taboo, the various ways of practicing it, and perhaps some quotes or stories from people who participate in it. That said, the book is an excellent introduction to this topic which I would recommend.

A beginning book on taboo
This is a beginning book on taboo. The book gives an overview of the most common taboos, including religion, bestiality/zoophilia, rape fantasy, incest fantasy, bodily secretions (scat, blood, urine), racism play, and necrophilia. While it covers considerable breadth in the extreme edge of BDSM, it also spends only a few pages on each topic, not enough to go in depth on any one fetish/kink.The book repeatedly stresses the importance of safe, sane and consensual play, which leads readers to examine the motivation for such desires and fantasies. It also points out the myriad of health risks associated with these taboos. In conclusion, it is a good introductory book but unfortunately does not provide examples of further reading that would be helpful for one wishing to continue exploring certain taboos in play or in research.
