Surface has to be clean
I worked hard to clean the areas where this was to be applied. In the areas cleaned perfectly down to the metal, this stuff really sticks. Even where it wasn't stuck very well, it stopped the leakage. So, bottom line, it works great on areas that well prepared. I bought a second tube because it really works.
