I use this for daily for medical purposes and fills the bill. I like being able to count on it being truly sterile.

It is what it is supposed to be.

Surgilube is a quality product, works well for catheter use, competitive priced and is anti-microbial. However, it was shipped by AMAZON in its original (flimsy) carton, NOT placed in a cardboard box.

I have found SurgiLube to be indispensable. Not only does it act as a fantastic lubricant, but because it's bacteriostatic, I have found it extremely effective as a temporary/emergency lotion over areas of skin that are susceptible to anaerobic bacteria, including cuts, abrasions, and any other minor surface injury I want to immediately prevent infection with, if I don't have NeoSporin (topical antibotic) handy. As a 'lotion' it dries without residue, and leaves the skin extremely soft and supple.

This is a very standard medical product. There's a lot of negative reviews on here from people who are using it for non-medical purposes. I'm not criticizing how they are using it, but it really is designed for medical procedures, and the product requirements are different from that of recreational uses.
