Cra-Z-Art Original Magna Doodle - 50 Years of Creative Fun with Magnetic Drawing Board, Ages 3+

My sister who has autism uses these to vent frustrations. She draws rapidly on them and usually throws them after she is done. She also attempts to pull the magnetic pencil off of the cord and hasn’t succeeded yet. So I know for a fact these things are tough.

I loved Magnadoodle when my daughter was young. We spent time drawing and playing hangman. Bought these for my great niece’s for Christmas and they loved them as well!! Quality product! Great price!

The only thing that people may have an issue with is the 3 magnetic shapes are small and not safe for toddlers that are prone to sticking things in their mouths. With that said, I purchased this for my granddaughter who was 1 at the time of purchase. I put up the 3 magnetic pieces in a baggie for use when she gets a little older. She absolutely LOVES it and carries it around using it frequently. It is great for learning to write, draw, and build fine motor skills. It's so durable that it will last for years to come.Addition: My granddaughter is now 3 yrs old and still loves this and uses it all the time. She is rough on it and it still its intact! The 3 pieces I put up for her that I mentioned before she absolutely loves using as well. This is great for building not only a creative personality, but fine motor skills. Admittedly I love playing with this as well. My nephew had one growing up and had one for 10 years before it was donated (still intact). This is the best gift you can get a young child hands down!

I miss the old days when products were better made. Just seems cheaper. Lighter plastic and magnets are just ok. Will do it’s job, just hate seeing things lose quality as timeGoes on.

This is such a cool toy. It is very universal. You can use it for learning purposes, or just for fun. At home, or you can use it in the car on long trips to keep your kiddo occupied. My daughter has so much fun having us draw and then hurrying up and erasing it with the eraser. It comes with three magnetic shapes to help make your designs unique. It seems to be fairly well made. My 2 year old has walked across it before and it didn't break, or crack. I love that is comes with a handle for easy carrying. The possibilities are endless. The colors are unisex and it is a toy that will grow with your child. We purchased it for my daughters 2nd birthday and she will be able to use it for a long time. Right now we use it to practice naming our shapes and I am starting to introduce tracing letters. Works like a charm and I don't have to worry about her drawing on the wall, floor, carpet, clothes, etc... with a crayon, pen, or marker. Disclaimer: I was not compensated in any way for this review. The little magnets that come with it in the shapes are very small. So that needs to be supervised (or just remove them) but overall, our 18 month old LOVES playing with it.

We just opened the package so this review more about initial impressions rather than durability. First, we already own a Fisher Price Classic Doodler. These are replacements for that one which has been dropped, stepped on, sat on, and most importantly - argued over by our two kids. So we purchased two of these Magna Doodles because they were less half the price of the new version of the Fisher Price doodler.-These Magna Doodles feel cheaply made and I wouldn't be surprised if the plastic cracks after being well loved by a 3 and 5 year old.-There was an oily substance leaking out of some of the seams of one of the manga doodles. I'm guessing that this is used to help the "eraser" slide across the board better. This one felt clunky and did not slide as smoothly as the other magna doodle did so maybe quality control went a little crazy with the oil trying to fix the problem. Or not.-The "writing" isn't as dark as what we were used to with the Fisher Price model. Not really a huge deal.-The magnet stampers are tiny. It was hard for me to get them out of their little holes with my giant grown-up hands. My 5-year old had trouble getting them out the very first time he used them but now doesn't have any trouble.That sounds like a lot of negatives but really, my kids aren't complaining about them so I gave them 3 stars because they get the job done and at half the price of the Fisher Price model. I'll probably send back the leaky Magna Doodle for a replacement and give my kids another week or two with them before deciding if we want to just fork over the extra $18 for the Slim Fisher Price version.

I had a Magna Doodle as a child and was so excited to introduce my kids to the FUN! I was not disappointed when I purchased these, and am very satisfied with the product.I bought 2 and they had different color pens - it was an excellent touch that allows my kids to identify which is theirs. It erases very easily, we have had no problems with sticking at all. Included with the attached pen is 3 stamps for the kids to play with. They LOVE them!It is lightweight and easy for kids to carry! I have also found this product is incredibly sturdy. My kids have grabbed it by the pen and taken off numerous times, not one crack or gouge at all.We would recommend this product to everyone! Keeps children engaged while utilizing their artistic abilities.
