Zebra is tied for #1 in my ratings for pens. Tied with Uni-ball Jetstream RT. They are both amazing to write with. A little history I've had and used Zebra 301's going back to the early 90s. I used them everyday. And, everyday someone would steal them. I had to watch them like crazy, as soon as someone ese used it they would steal it. The 301 has not changed in all that time. I have a couple that sit in my lap top bag for 10+ years. The 701 is made from steel from tip to tip, for about $8? Oh man. And like Uni, Zebra produces simply awesome products no matter the price point. The ink flows freely, the point doesn't catch on the paper and the pen looks beautiful. The knurled grip gives control. It has a satisfying click when deploying or retracing the point and the action is crisp. It's not super thick, so it fits in pen holders on notebooks. I can't find a complaint, quality, doesn't pretend to be something it's not, looks great, works and no need to sell a kidney to buy one or replace one. A+

I dislike the pens they give to us for work, so I decided to purchase my own. I’m glad I went with Zebra brand. I was not disappointed! The quality of the pen is great! It feels balanced. The functionality of the pens are great, as well! The value for the box of 12 is great! They last for a long time.People are always trying to steal my pens. That how nice they are.Word of caution: Try not to hit, drop, or knock the pen’s ballpoint. It will stop the ink flow or make it skip.

I purchased 3, one for me and one for each of my sons. It has a nice weight, very solid feeling, writes smooth. Should provide a solid performer for years

I am not normally a ballpoint pen person. But these are wonderful, durable, nice writing pens. The big fat refills fit the pen better and are longer writing than the refill it comes with. This is a pen to own for decades.The pen does not come with instructions for changing the ink. Only the small cone at the writing end screws off. It is very tight when it is new. It is important that you grip the pen by the knurled section and the cone to screw the end off, and not grip it by the pocket clip. If you grip it by the pocket clip, the pocket clip can be damaged, which in turn will damage the internal mechanism, causing the pen to break permanently.Pictured is the cone tip when screwed off, and the clip which you should not use any tension on when unscrewing the tip.
