Solidly built, minimal assembly was a breeze
My wife has MS, and is fairly independent during the day while I'm at work, but she can get into trouble on occasions. While trying to stand to use her walker, she sometimes will slide out of bed or her recliner chair and end up on the floor on her rear end. Once she's down, it is impossible for her to get back up on her own, and difficult for me to lift her off the floor by myself. We've had to call the fire department 3 times over the past couple of months to get her back on her feet, and I know this is very embarrassing for her. The day after her last "slip and slide" occurred a week and a half ago, and the subsequent call to the emergency crew, I decided we needed to do something. I started researching hardware and businesses to see what was available for such slip/fall events. There were many options available, but the IndeeLift stood out from the others, and the more I learned and read reviews, I felt confident I was making the right choice. The unit came in less than a week, was packaged extremely well, and was a breeze to prep...simple installation of the 2 wheels (hex wrench included), and sliding the two support arms into their respective brackets were all it took to assemble, and I estimate it took me less than 5 minutes to get it up and running. While I wasn't able to test it with my wife when it arrived, I was able to test it out myself to see how difficult it would be to slide my butt onto the unit's seat while seated prone on the floor. It was fairly easy to do to my relief. I unclipped the remote from the handle, pushed the up button it slowly and smoothly lifted me up to a height of just under two feet off the floor. From that height, it was perfect to be in a position to transition to the walker. While my wife may have difficulty positioning herself on the lift by herself when I'm not there, I am 100% confident that the two of us (or a neighbor) can safely operate the "slide-on" procedure shown in the instructions (and many videos on YouTube) without much trouble...and hopefully no more calls to the Fire department going forward. I am very pleased with this product and it is built like a tank, yet is surprisingly easy to move around. The seller was great and I would recommend both with no hesitation.

Great machine.
The person who I bought this for doesn't have to call the fire department anymore to help her get up off of the floor.

BEST lift available for ambulatory people!
I have had decreased mobility and balance over the last few years and falls became more frequent. My shoulders and the general strength of both of us has also diminished so it was getting more difficult to get me back up without extra help. Both in late 70's. Researched various lifts on web and decided to purchase this one and it is amazing. Unit weighs 83 lbs, but wheels like a dolly to downed person and platform goes almost to floor so person can slide up on it with help of arm rests, or be assisted by another person, then rechargeable control lifts person to 20" in about a minute where transfer to walker or chair is possible. Stores in about 2'x2' space and small enough to access almost any place in house. Great product and great peace of mind in maintaining our independence in our own home for as long as possible. Also well-made and very understandable directions and videos. I would give this a 10 star if available.

remote cord needs to be longer and have a place to hang from one of the handles
this thing is well built and well thought out with one exception, and why i downgraded one star. The curly cord that connects to the remote is not long enough to ensure the patient will be able to keep it in their hands and not spring out of reach while operating. The adjustable side handles swing out of the way, but the remote cannot "stay" hanging on either handle to leave for an elderly person to have within reach if they need to crawl to it in a falling emergency. My mom falls often and is too heavy for one person to lift back to standing, and she cannot get her knees on the ground to lift herself because she has one bad knee and has her legs in front of her when she has fallen to the floor. In the past it would take two strong guys to each grab a shoulder to get her back to standing position. The last time she slipped out of her bed and fell to the ground, she "butt-scooted" to the phone to call at 2am to have me drive over and then call for the next door neighbor to help me get her off the floor. Next time she falls out of the bed, she can just "butt-scoot" backwards to the lift, grab the remote and lift herself to chair height. I only wish there was a way to hang the remote from one of the adjustable handles instead of hanging it from the top of the unit.

Be extra sure of your patient's capabilities before ordering this......
Product performs as advertised and is extremely sturdy. Unfortunately, we discovered, much to our surprise and disappointment, that our daughter simply cannot move herself around on the floor to get positioned on the seat of this lift and we can't help her enough to accomplish that. This is true even on a polished wood floor. We tried to get her on from the side but that does not work. The side approach might work if the seat was tapered on the sides as it is on its front edge. My one-star rating is not on the product so much as this experience over all. The failure is on us. I would be sending this back, but the return window closed in February.

Works as advertised
I bought this because my sister falls sometimes. She weighs quite a bit, so it was hard to get her up from the floor. I had to call paramedics a few times. This has been a life saver. It is easy to use and lifts her up so I can get her in her chair. I love it, and would recommend to anyone who has the same problem.

Beware of the retailer
The lift is working ok so far but when it arrived it was it was apparent that the lift had fallen out of the box because the owners manuals were missing.
