I was after a replacement messenger bag as my Briggs & Riley was looking a bit shabby and after 10years it was time for a change. I'd been reviewing a lot of bags but couldn't find one as a suitable replacement and the B&R bag was long since discontinued. The Soho bag is nice but a bit big for what I was after and takes getting used to with the different parts and zippered sections and whatnot. It can also work as an overnight bag if you wanted to pack a small change of clothes, excluding pants, but... it may work for what you need. I'll be back at it and on the hunt again.

This Solo laptop bag is great, I had a Solo bag before that I wore out and hunted until I found this one. I'm a teacher who travels around to different classroom locations, and it can easily hold papers, books, a computer, supplies, and more. The compartments are versatile and fairly intuitive, the zippers are smooth as silk, material is thick, and the shoulder strap is comfortable. Note that the shoulder strap is not detachable--which is fine for me but I hadn't realized before purchase. I wish the frame was a little more reinforced because the bag tends to fold in the middle when worn over the shoulder while not full due to its 17" width. But overall, I'm very happy with it.

Bought this bag based on reviews and was not disappointed. Great, sturdy bag with room for the larger laptops and all your gear. I also carried my I-pod and all its cables, passport, tickets paperback book, puzzle book and anything else I thought I might need while travelling. Great item at a great price. 1/9/2019 UPDATE! Its been almost seven years and this bag is still what I carry my laptop in - not he same laptop since it has outlived two! It has been to Europe on a cruise and on may flights where it gets kicked under the seat in front of me. It has also traveled across the US via car and RV. All zippers still work perfectly and the only wear is a couple of scuffs on the outside. It still gets fully loaded without any troubles. Love this bag!

Was looking for a replacement for my husband's beat up laptop case. He takes his huge 17-inch laptop with him everywhere, including many airplane trips. His bag he's had for a few years and it's lasted longer than some of his laptops. But, it now has a broken zipper and some worn edges, so it was time to get him a new bag! He really likes the feature of being able to simply unzip and lay the bag open flat on the security belt at the airport. So this was a required feature. I finally found this bag here on Amazon and it is actually the same style/brand of bag of his old beat up one! So we knew this would meet all his requirements. it's basically a newer version of his previous bag. The small pocket in the front is great as he likes to put his keys, loose change, ipod, etc in there where he can quickly access them. Since it's the same company the quality is just as good and I expect this bag to outlast his current laptop as well.
