Absolutely perfect for a dwarf hamster. It is nice and deep, which does mean you will either need to partially bury it in bedding - or, if you have it on a platform like me, prop up a bridge so your hamster can climb up to the top. I love how it's a top entry - this keeps all the sand safely tucked inside the container, and makes cleanup much easier. The triangle shape makes pouring out sand through a sifter even easier, which helps in cleaning. Both the glass and wooden lid are thick and high quality, and so far no sand has leaked out. I love the depth - I add enough sand so my hamster can fully submerge himself if he wants to, and he spends lots of time rolling around quite happily.

These are very cute, attractive and well made. They seem kind of expensive, but we are happy that we purchased this item.

I had a small sandbox for her, which fit her but was a tad bit snug on her. So I bought this for her, and it definitely holds more sand! I think I added a bit too much sand in it, that's why in the video it looks like it's too shallow for her. But with the right amount of sand, this box is big enough for a Syrian hamster. The only thing about this box that I'm not 100% satisfied with is that the lid tends to get removed easily.. I need to put something heavy on top so the lid doesn't come off. But otherwise, the box is 1) big enough for a Syrian hamster, 2) contains sand inside the box so I don't have to clean too much on the outside of the box, and 3) my hamster loves it!! Great quality, as with all Niteangel products I have, and it's easy to clean! MUST BUY FOR A HAMSTER who loves sand baths 🐹 🛁 My hamster's fur is never oily, thanks to this sandbox :)

I don’t know what it is about this particular sand bath, but my Syrian absolutely loves it! He has always preferred to use his sand bath as a litter box, which makes me very happy. But the round dishes I had tried before he would simply use and leave. With this one, he actually enjoys hanging out inside, or sometimes on the platform. When I put him in a large bin to clean his enclosure, it becomes his safe place. He gets very stressed in the bin, (even with a ton of bedding with his scent). But if he has his beloved sand bath, all is good. He’ll just fall asleep in there. I don’t know how they came up with the design, but it’s apparently just what hamsters love. Syrians do seem to prefer peeing in corners, so I’ll never have a round one again. And the cover/platform obviously makes him feel very safe. It’s quite large and very sturdy. I would absolutely buy it again.

Solid sandbath that my hamster enjoys using. I was a little worried it would be too tall for her to get into but she has been able to use it. It is relatively easy to clean and I like how the top stays put to avoid sand falling out. Worth getting.

I like it but it’s a little too tall for my Chinese Dwarf Hamster. Therefore , I have to put A LOT more sand. She initially struggled to climb out lol but second time around it was easier for her. It is a great product nonetheless.

Even after buying nite angel hamster products for awhile I still hesitate at the price. The same with this product I couldn’t justify spending 30 dollars for it but I did. I never regret it, definitely quality product?

It is expensive, but worth it. My gerbils kept kicking their sand out of one I had previously. So I was looking for a solution, and this worked amazingly. My gerbils love it. The triangle shape fits perfectly in the corner of their aquarium, space saver. It is easy to clean. Both gerbils can fit comfortably in it at the same time without being cramped. I can put a lot more sand in it, Which my gerbils seem very happy about. They started to use it as a potty as well. Which is great for super easy potty training. But I didn't want them to be rolling around in all that. I ended up buying a second one. Now they choose to potty more in one and bathe more in the other. This is a great product. Very durable. They don't chew on the top like I thought they would. But even if they did, I don't think it would hurt it. Seller packages it very well for shipping. Very impressed with the product and how well it is protected in shipping. Very happy I decided to give it a try despite the price.
