It's decent for its price
This flap door serves its purpose well as an indoor solution for my three cats. I've designated a separate room for them, and to prevent it from being wide open all the time, I carved out an opening and installed this flap. It's been a game-changer in keeping the rest of the house smelling fresh. While my feline friends eventually got the hang of using it, they weren't exactly thrilled about it. The product itself does feel a tad flimsy and wobbly, but it's budget-friendly, and it gets the job done. It's a practical addition that makes a difference, balancing functionality with affordability.

Small is ideal for big cats
As it is a pet flap…. I was thinking along the lines….. if it was based on dog size then small would be great for my cats. My judgment was bang on. I have large cats and the small size is perfect.

Screws prevent the lock hatch from sliding down, had to return
The door had two problems for me. I was installing it in the side of a shed for a feral cat. Problem 1: the door didn't want to swing freely, it kept catching slightly and I worried that come winter when the wood swelled it would stop swinging entirely. Problem 2, the dealbreaker: the screws being too long meant that the locking panel you slide in couldn't close, so I wasn't able to lock it. I had to be able to lock it as I needed to be able to shut the feral cat in to take it to the vet. The screws would've needed to be hacksawed off, preventing it from being used anywhere else. Just a faulty design so I had to return it.

Replacement Cat Flap
Bought this to replace a broken very old cat flap so can’t really comment on the installation as all I had to do was remove the old one and install the new one! Everything lined up nicely (once I’d got the rusty old bolts off) but the shorter bolts weren’t long enough for our wooden door. Ended up using the longer ones but cutting them down to size.Overall, this wouldn’t be my first choice of cat flap as the guillotine-like locking panel is a bit annoying compared to more modern 4-way locking designs. But it’s very fairly priced and I guess you get what you pay for. Sturdy plastic, decent bolts, and good installation instructions.
