Miró's Magic Animals

wonderful book for an art teachers. my k-2 kids loved reading it.

Very sweet book

This is a great primer of Miro's art before visiting a museum to see the actual works. We read the book the day before, which made the museum trip a lot more enjoyable for our 4 and 9 year olds. The 4 year old had fun searching for animals in the paintings, while the 9 year old came up with crazy alternative interpretations.

I like the imagery presentation in the book. It has provided a good source of Miro icons for me to understand and recognize in his work.

Miro is one of my favourite artists. A master of humour and all sorts of feelings in his works. I gave this to the grandkids along with another in the series and they were occupied with these books on and off all day! Beautifully put together as a colouring book.

I bought it for my grandchildren but I’m not sure what age it is pitched at. I enjoyed it but couldn’t interest my grandchildren. The Boy Who Bit Picasso was received much better

Bought as a present for a 7yr old. I'm told she loves it.
