Q: What type of plastic is used for the peppercorn storage area?

It's glass if I remember rightly. It broke a while go and we threw it away. The plastic handles fatigue very quickly. I do not recommend it.

Q: Is there a difference between the "salt" one and the "pepper" one? Could I just buy the salt one and fill it with pepper?

Q: One of the handles cracked off while I was putting salt on my food. Can you replace it? The plastic must have had a weak spot.

Q: Will the magnets allow the shakers to stick together? I have seen a Q & A that says they do not but have a friend with this set and they do.

I do not know if they stick together. I would assume so. I just know that the magnets are not strong enough to hold the full container to the fridge without falling off and breaking.
