LILYS PET 7.5" high-end Left-Handed Professional PET Dog Grooming Scissors Suit Cutting&Curved&Thinning Shears (Black)

This was for my daughter for Christmas. She liked it a lot, this is what she chose as a Christmas gift. She is going to be training soon as a dog groomer and is left handed so these grooming tools fit her.

These shears are everything I expected and more! They were recommended to me by my co-workers as an inexpensive, but decent shear. They feel great, and they’re much less expensive than other high end shears.

These shears are sharp and work good for left handed groomers. If you groom a lot, they will need to be sharpened in a month or two. Our blade guy could not get these sharpened well enough to continue cutting. But these are good starter shears for lefties. We will be finding a more quality shear in the future. We have bought two sets of these. So maybe we will try to find another service that just focuses on shear sharpening, I believe the sharpening issues are related to these being left handed. These would be great for the home groomer and starting professional left hand groomers.

I bought the scissors. They are very good. The only issue is that there’s one out of the four scissors that are not cutting properly and I have no other scissors to cut with so I can’t send them back. What are my options to do?

Original review now updatedThese shears don't cut. The blades don't contact each other (see picture). Also, in this set of (supposedly) left handed shears, was one right handed pair. I would have sent them back, but the problem got set aside and covered up and the send-back is now too late. I still believe that I should warn other shoppers away from Lilys Pet shears. They don't work.UPDATEThe seller, LILYS has been very cooperative in dealing with the issues we had with these shears. We have found that they do cut, but that there is some inconsistency which they are working on. LILYS has reached out and made this right. I strongly recommend doing business with this company

I bought myself a set that never was around when I needed them. Now both my daughters have their own set and I can have mine back!

These are great scissors especially for the price and are left handed.Would definitely buy these again!!

I looked for quite some time for a reasonably priced set of leftie scissors. Bought one set that were advertised for lefties, but they didn't didn't function, and I sent them back. I scrutinized the photos extensively on this pair before purchasing. These scissors arrived on time, and they are truly left-handed scissors with the blades working properly when cutting. Yay! I've only groomed with them once, and I'm not sure that I will end up using the pair that curves to the outside, however, I'm pleased with the set.
