Great for elderly cats!
Several years ago I had one of my furbabies die at the ripe old age of 18 due to the inevitable issue of kidney failure. This was after years of eating dry food, granted I did try the better kind, or what I thought to be the better kind. Blue Buffalo and yes, I also did Purina One Indoor Advantage as well as the Purina One Urinary Tract and Sensitive Stomach varieties. Watching my then eldest at the time start to waste away to skin and bones conveniences me to try and switch to an almost all wet catfood diet. Wow, there are so so so many and it is so so expensive. My now eldest, she is also atleast 18 if not a little older as of this year and a year ago she started showing the dreaded signs and so I started really bucking down on wet food. I tried alot of them but unfortunately she also has a very very sensitive stomach and can not tolerate a lot of foods. Between her sensitive stomach and all three of my furkid's finicky taste buds, let me just say I have spent alot of money on cat food! So much money... Anywho, after a lot of research, and trial and errors, I finally settled on this without question. Yes I give them two others on the side. A cat soup food made with human grade ingredients, that they all seem to like as well as a Hill's Science one but this after sooo many attempts at other, more expensive, better quality (technically) foods is my go to food. This Chicken and Liver specifically. I stopped giving my cats fish based foods last year because my eldest stopped being able to tolerate it and for some reason this specific food has been the perfect go to. Zero upset stomach issues and all three of them will eat it. I thought my Minen was going to die last year or even 6 months ago, she was looking honey and throwing up all the time but since I started giving them mostly just this, she has been making a come back. She is still thin but she has out some weight back on and she isn't throwing up all the time like she was and she looks much more like her old self again. This may not work for every cat, but this has brought my baby back from the brink. No it may not be that super high end quality that is touted as being the best foods for cats with kidney issues but this works for my girl. I don't know why it works for her but it does. Not the Chicken with the pink label, not the Gravy Lovers and they do not like Turkey and Giblets (which is another good one). This one specifically has been the best out of all the many that I've tried.

Consistent
Always perfect, always consistent. My cats LOVE fancy feast and it's all they eat. The food is the perfect consistency with enough "juices" to make it irresistable to your feline friends:)

A good choice for a cat that should not have seafood
My finicky older cat likes it. …. It does not have the intense stench that seafood flavors have., The small can works great for an older cat, who only eats about a third of a can at a time. The app asks about diarrhea….. we have had NO ISSUES WITH DIARRHEA. I cannot personally rate the taste (really amazon ?? It’s CAT FOOD !)

Good budget option
I take care of a lot of community cats in my neighborhood, so I started using Fancy Feast because it is affordable. Then my indoor cats became hooked. The smell of it is not pleasant, but the cats seemed to enjoy it and the ingredients are decent, so I continued feeding it for several months. Recently, the quality control of this particular fancy feast flavor as well as the 30 pack of poultry and beef has gone way downhill (dented cans, fatty material throughout, no juice/dry pate. I won't be ordering this flavor for a while. This happened with the beef flavor a while back and now the beef flavor seems fine. So here is what I have come to know and accept with fancy feast… affordable with decent recipes, well liked by every single cat I have ever met, and easy to find. Is it made with the best ingredients? No. Is it made with the worst? No. I can afford to feed my cats better food but they refuse to eat it, so I’m going to continue with fancy feast but rotate flavors to avoid the inevitable quality control issues that come with ordering only one flavor: dented cans, chunky fat bits, dry pate with zero juice. Amazon will typically always replace in those instances, so it’s a good deal all around. Don’t feel bad if you can only afford to feed FF. Some cats including mine actually prefer it to the boutique brands.

Both cats love this flavor
I put this on subscription because my elderly inside and my active feral outside cat both gobble this up. It's a good price, it doesn't smell up the house, it must taste great, and the pop tops make it easy for my arthritic hands to open. I give them a smaller portion - 1/2 can each, and there are few leftovers.

Cat food
My cats favorite.

The label is different and the cat wouldn't eat it, it is otherwise her favourite when purchased at a regular grocery store.
