Fake product pictures
This was nothing as my expectation. The pictures of the product show that it is WiFi and this was the reason I chose this product. But somewhere in the description deeply hidden, it states that it is not WiFi.This is really dishonest approach to put the pictures of other products instead of the correct pictures of the product

Solid piece of kit
Great piece of kit. I use mine to control a converted fridge to be a fermentation box, using a small barrel heater from screwfix. As the fridge is more powerful than the 60 watt heater, I find it better to have the heating tolerance about 0.5 degrees from base setting and the cooling 2 degrees from base setting. I'm very pleased with my Inkbird !!

Accuracy
In picture 1 the brew bucket stands on a hot plate, when on the wines start easier don't stall and the first ferment is done withing 7-10 days. Whith this gadget the plate is not often on, keeps an accurate temp of around 22 celcius, and saves elcetricity. Basement is 18-20 degrees. I realise my brews must have been cooking before I started using this temperature control. Will only know much later howthe wine tastes but that's depends on a lot more.

For excellent temperature control.
Used as a beer fermentation controller. Can be set to a tight range of +- 1C of set temp or larger range -50 to +120C if required. Can be set to Fahrenheit or Centigrade.Sound alarm can be set for over under temperature. The temperature probe is accurate. Can also set a delay to protect a cooling compressor from being cycled too frequently. One socket is attached to heater the other to cooling system. Max 10 Amps. However it can be used with just one socket for either. The probe is 12" and is in a thermowell, originally in was just placed in liquid but that tarnished the nice stainless steel finish. It is easy to use, robust construction and nice clear display.Im really pleased with the item

Relax... it's all taken care of!
In a nutshell this device will keep your fermentation at the right temperature with no intervention from yourself. It does this by monitoring your fermentation with a temperature probe and switches the power on and off to either the heater or the cooler socket depending on your set-up. You can choose from two different length probes when you purchase the unit a 2" or a 12" sensor, the length refers to the stainless steel tip.In the UK particularly in winter, the unit will only be switching the power on and off to your heater. In my case the temperature of the unit is to set to 23.5C with a permitted variance of +/-0.5C. The fermentation bucket or carboy is sat on a heat mat; inside the bucket or carboy I place a stainless steel thermowell stopper (purchased separately) and inside that I place the temperature probe (that comes with the unit). That's it, sit back and know that the Inkbird thermostat is taking care of things. The product itself is well made with sturdy cables, a clearly marked moulded pair of sockets for heating/cooling and an easy to use controller. The cables joining the unit and plug are premoulded and have kink protection. It also has a hook so it can be attached to the wall for easy visibility. The sensor probe can be unplugged from the main unit to allow for cleaning if required. My only criticism and it is a small one is the price, perhaps a little on the expensive side? If you have fermentation fridge - get one of these!!!
I have to say I was slightly worried about product - due one or two of the others feedback - I needn't have been. This is a fantastic piece of kit.I have a fermentation fridge all rigged up now and it's out in the garage - which is cold this time of year. This product worlds phenomenally well. The home brew is steady between 21.9-22.0 C - perfect!!!Yes I could have made my own with a cheaper priced product, but when you added it all up this was much better - fantastic product.23/12/2016 - I've had this for a month and made first homebrew in record time as the thermostat works fantastic- best piece of kit I've bought for homebrewing. Get one you won't regret it!!
