Antronix RRA1-10 Coaxial CATV 10db Return Amplifier

I had high upstream power levels on my cable modem, ranging from 54 to 58. Internet would get unstable several times a day and I was not getting close to advertised speeds. Line and connections all good. Only one splitter. Added this amp and power levels dropped to 44 to 45. After modem reboot, speed test more than doubled. Now testing at 880 of my 1 gig service. Happy customer for this solution to my specific problem.

This really helped bring down my upload powers.

With this amp I was able to get a return of 0.0 and forward of 39. Line is good with +44SNR. Really difficult to get anything better than that. Unfortunately with high split coming, I'll need to remove it, but it has been fantastic while I've had it. Never get drops and signal is super stable.I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND buying this without knowing what this does. You need to know what your RX and TX is at the modem, and honestly, for the rest of your cable layout in your house, especially if you use TV cable boxes. If you only have cable internet, then this could potentially make things better and it would be easier to configure.There's different amps that have different effects. This one is -1rx and +10tx. Basically boosts only return with a minor hit to the forward. Some people need +10tx and +15rx, and others may need something else. Get the amp that you need for your specific system. It's not one-size-fits-all.

Had very slow upload speeds and drops and had T3 timeouts on my event log.I replaced my cables with new ones and installed this amp and it significantly stabilized my connection and boosted my upload speeds. Will monitor speeds and if there’s issues, I’ll update my review.

Didn't help with my dropped internet connection at all. Don't waste your money. It might be that I was sold damaged goods since when I returned it I was told it was damaged and charged 50% restocking fee. So who knows if this product really works or not.

I asked for a 10dB gain amp, and was sent one that does over 20! They saw the mistake and traded it out at no extra charge to me. Outstanding customer relations on this product. The cable company provided 1 dB at the modem, which was not enough to drive the router and get a reasonable signal throughout the house. This can be placed outdoors or indoors. Ours was placed indoors, and the quality is beyond what I expected. If you have a low signal, this is the answer, but you must understand how much signal is available at the modem. 1 dB is Not a measurement that would mean that -1 dB would not be anything. 1dB is equivalent to 1,000 microvolts. However, if your signal is less than 1 dB, your TV or computer/pictures will always be grainy. Check what is available first. Remove and inspect splices, which can have moisture or even the center conductor on coaxial cable could suck back and not make a connection. There are a multitude of variables to consider before purchasing this item.

Just perfect. No more drops in service. No more choppy service. Totally and completely handled the excessive upstream power issue. PERFECT!!!

Most of the people buying this and other amps don't even need them or understand what exactly they do! ARGHH!!!I came to browse for amps because I no longer have access to the "free" supply of these and other types of amps I used to get. Was curious how much they actually retailed for, I now understand why my supply was taken away lol.Before you buy this or any other amplifier, please understand that requiring the use of an amplifier is, more often than not, actually a BAD thing. If you find yourself in actual need of one, your first question you should be asking yourself is "WHY do I need one" and second question is "can I FIX the reason WHY I might have to use one". Amplifiers should be an absolute last resort unless you KNOW and UNDERSTAND why you might need one for your situation.Of course, this is assuming your provider is actually going to send you the correct range of signals required for your application. Sadly, the majority of new and young cable techs are just as clueless as the average consumer coming here looking to buy one of these lol. All they know is hurr durr, SIGNAL AMPLIFIER, yay!Ugh...anyway, rant over....This is a top notch return amp, and Antronix is the Mercedes of signal amplifiers. Worth every penny!
