Weruva Classic Dog Food, Paw Lickin’ Chicken with Chicken Breast in Gravy, 5.5oz Can (Pack of 24)

My dog has no teeth, pancreatitis and an allergy to chicken. This food fills the bill as it's main protein is mackerel, it's low in fat and most importantly, the company uses very high quality ingredients. It is not inexpensive, but it is also not the most expensive food out there, although it has seen a bump in price since the tariffs. I will probably have to go elsewhere to purchase it more cheaply, as some of the Amazon vendors seem to be bumping the product price far beyond what the tariffs should warrant. I checked with Weruva, and they said to expect an 8 to 9% increase. I've seen increases here as high as 38% in the last month.

This variety pack was the right decision when switching dog foods. She loved three out of four flavors. I now know which one not to buy for her. She really likes Weruva dog food. I like the quality of Weruva and it doesn’t cause loose bowels!

My dog has awful allergies to rice and eggs. I've been feeding my dog limited ingredients diets for years, and she hates it. She's 10 now and I literally have to beg her every day to eat her food. She just bites a few pieces and loses interest even when she's really hungry. (She also lacks teeth so canned food was the only option.) I was so sad because her life just seemed so sad and dull because she couldn't enjoy her food. Especially now that she's a senior. I wanted her later years to be full of flavorful food and happiness! I had found a local website for a shop that allowed you to search ingredients and omit specific ingredients, and curiosity struck as I wanted to see if I could find anything more palatable to my dog. Weruva canned foods popped up on a list of a few brands (few indeed as everything seems to contain rice.) I found the brand easily on Amazon and ordered this flavor to try. I received it in 2 days prime shipping and popped open a can that day; my dog instantly comes sprinting over. She's super excited, but I am holding my breath because she usually tastes new food and stops being interested shortly after a bite. I portion out a third of the can (she's teeny tiny), and set her bowl down, and I pop the can saver lid on and place it back in the refrigerator. I already hear snarfing and smacking, and I look back down after turning around and the food was gone. Holy moly, she inhaled her food without any coaxing from my end! She proceeded to do this for the entire month, every day until I went through the entire supply. I ordered a variety pack of all 12 flavors and she devoured each and every one in the same manner. This was ridiculous. Now every day when it's time to eat dinner, she jumps up and sprints to the kitchen. She's already hopping around and spinning in excited circles while I'm scooping out her food!! It's such an adorable sight to see her so happy and excited to eat! Now that she's a senior, I really wanted her later years to be full of happiness and good food (without sacrificing her health). Obviously I could feed her cheeseburgers and have her devour it, but not at the expense of her health. Weruva is full of really good stuff, and you can see every chunk of what the food was before it went into the can. It's no cheap, but I can't put a price on my pup's happiness and health. LOVE!! and there's so many flavors to choose from and nothing but quality ingredients!

Great product. I’ve been buying Weruva for a while now. My dog loves it. My only issue is that the cans received are often damaged. Usually, slightly dented. Although it was only one this time, it was a bit too damaged.

This is the best dog food you can buy! Recommend recommended by my veterinarian. The dog loves it!

My dog is sensitive to chicken and just recovered from a miserable diarrhea episode. I've fed him this canned food for several days now and he loves it. He also produced a very "high quality" poop this morning - I'll spare you the picture! The other thing I've noticed is that the food smells good, unlike the Science Diet food I was feeding him before.

I order these often they are on a subscription. The last two times these have come in, the cans and the boxes have been completely dented. 3-6 cans each time have been dented so bad they are open and the cans have leaked all over the rest of the products and they have air exposed so they’re no good and I won’t feed them to my dogs like that. The first time, the cans must have been broken for a few weeks because 2 of the cans had maggots in them. I’m going to give this one more subscription chance cause I do understand things happen during shipping and so it may not be the distributors fault. Plus my dogs really enjoy this food and I have a hard time getting them to eat anything else. But I recently found out a local pet store carried these in stock, it is more expensive than purchasing in bulk but if I keep getting damaged cans that are no good then getting a few dollars off per purchase doesn’t equate to non useable products anyways so I’ll make the switch. Convenience is the factor here. Like I said, I’m gonna try one more time and hope for the best. But super disappointed thus far

Both of my cats won't go anywhere near this bland chicken water mess they're passing off as 'cat food'. They don't accept returns either so I'm stuck with 11 unusable, useless cans of this stuff. Do not buy it.

Well, my dogs like this, and it does like like identifiable food. However, when I hoped the pack, several cans right in the middle were bashed in. How does that happen only to interior cans. I really felt that someone was trying to take advantage of me. Caveat Emptor!
