Finally - A Firewire Interface for Windows 10 PC that Works!
After trying various FireWire 400 / IEEE1394 PCIe interface cards (with and without Texas Instrument chipsets) to connect my Sony DV Camcorder to my PC and trying various "Legacy" drivers and the rest, I purchased this card and it has worked FLAWLESSLY. All I did was install the card, Windows 10 installed the necessary drivers (I assume since I never saw a message ...) Connected a Firewire 800/9 pin to 4 Pin cable to my camcorder and it works! Absolutely no frame drops! I am using Magix Vegas Pro 19 Video Capture Tool and have captured 6 full tapes so far with No Frame Loss!I am completely happy with this card - Buy It! It is a bit pricey but it is completely worth it.

Conectar y usar. Muy práctico, y funciona en versiones resientes de Windows.
La tarjeta es todo lo que esperaba. Se conecta y se comienza a usar, windows 10 instaló el controlador en automático, descargué WinDV y comencé a grabar en minutos.IMPORTANTE: Dos cosas: 1.- No incluye cable adaptador molex de 4 Pin en la caja, por lo que si tu fuente de poder no lo incluye tienes que comprar uno. 2.- En windows suele ser necesario software especializado para poder usar video por firewire/DV, no te espantes si no funciona como webcam o captura desde webcam.

An excellent and well priced card, delivered at speed and well protected in box Nice quality fitting as expected fro past experience with StarTech.com. Adds "firewire" old style ports to newer Windows 10pro desktop pc allowing me to review/edit old DV cassette files.

Monté dans un hack, gère une fireface 400 en FireWire sans aucun soucis jusqu’à présent, sans pilotes et simple d’installation, bon conditionnement et la carte sent la qualité
