Taste Great and Very Convienient
I love anchovies, and these are excellent - very firm and just the right amount of salt. The fact that they come in jars instead of cans makes them even better - easier to use and store after opening. One odd thing is that a 4 oz jar seems to get used up faster than a 2 oz tin! Not sure why that is (I am not suggesting that the weight is wrong, but I have not measured it); maybe it's just because I like them so much? I guess I'll have to open a tin and compare the weights of fish and oil in both, just to be sure. For now, I trust the label, and I'm sticking with my 5-star rating. One minor complaint is that the jars did not seem to be sealed very well from the factory - when the box came there were signs of oil staining on the cardboard, and most of the jars were somewhat oily. None of the lids were loose (but they all could be tightened just a little bit more), and there was no oil dripping out of the box, so the leakage was slight, but still unusual. This could be caused by the fact I live over 7,000 feet in altitude, and everything expands as it gets up here. As long as none of them arrive worse than this in the future, I won't complain.

Anchovie Fillets? No Anchovie MUSH!
I have no Idea. I bought a case of 12. I received them in a plastic bag with a flimsy box, envelop? Not sure how they packed it. These anchovies are packed in GLASS. Who in their right mind thinks that glass will survive being shipped with no appropriate packing. All containers arrived broken, well almost, 1 survived. The anchovies were terrible, they were mush instead of fillets. I tasted them and I don't recommend them. There many other available options, much better than these.

Very high quality product
I love that these anchovies come in glass. They are the perfect size and I look forward to using them as part of my meals. The box I received from Amazon had two broken jars so the olive oil leaked out into the box. I work for Amazon in their Problem Solve department at the sortation center my box passed through. I know that no one was at fault. The seller did an excellent job packaging the jars. The person who packed them in the Amazon box was required to use the size box the computer determines. Unfortunately, there is too much room in the box even with the bubbles they are packed in. The only solution I know of would be for the seller to pack them in their own boxes with no extra space but that would also mean raising the price. The anchovies taste great. They are wild caught and packed in 100% olive oil. The product is exactly as described and the seller goes to great detail to bring this product to those with a taste for anchovies. Amazon refunded me the price of the product. So everyone exceeded my expectations. I hope people will still consider purchasing this product. Most of the time everything goes smoothly with the transport.

Perfect package but exploded
Latest update: Seasons stands behind their products. You must go to their direct website and furnish direct product info with proof of purchase. They replaced all 12 cans and this batch is why i buy Seasons anchovies. Update: HALF OF THESE SEALED CANS ARE READY TO BURST! BAD-BAD-BAD. I AM POSTING THE EXPIRATION DATE OF JUN 02, 2025. Today is 1/30/2024. Once a slight pull on the tab occurred the tin exploded, smelled bad, and tasted worse. Not sure what caused the problem but the contents were rotten. Expiration date was a year in the future. Have 11 more packages and will update review.

What a shame. Worst purchasing experience. Everything went wrong
This is the first time I write a review in my life.I received the package of 10 tins with 2 squeezed tins that dropped all the oil in the box, oiling almost all the others.I threw away the content of the squeezed tins and I opened a couple of the closed ones. The content was far away from an acceptable quality.Instead of finding the expected regular anchovies in oil, I got a sort of anchovies paste where all the anchovies lost their original shape.I wanted to returned the Item but I discovered the item was not returnable. Now they are all ready for the next garbage collection.I gave one star just because the application doesn't take any zero stars. Please do not waste your money for product like this.

Tastes fine, but it's mostly mush
These anchovies taste good, not too salty and very flavorful. However, in the jars I received, the 'filets' were mostly broken up into small pieces and fragments, rendering them unsuitable where proper anchovy filets are required. Unless you want these specifically for recipes that ask for chopped or crushed anchovies (a Puttanesca, say), look for another brand.

Value is a Six Plus
Incredible value. Compare to other offerings. The big question is 'why?'.Simple--made in Peru. All of the other anchovies I saw were European or North African. The traditional producers. Does it make a difference? To me, no. I can't taste any fall off in taste or quality. So, if you like to put anchovies in red sauce or brown gravies, these work just fine. I like them on pizza and pasta or where ever you want salted fish.Try'em.

The anchovies are great, the shipping NOT
Amazon ships this in a plastic bag and the order we just got was hit hard enough to break the end cans open. After some hassling around they agreed to replace it without a return which is great, but shipping something breakable in a plastic bag is crazy. We've ordered these before and like them, it's just the shipping that doesn't make sense.
