Effective and easy to use power washer
I saw the negative reviews of this product and I just don’t get it. This is NOT a gas high powered pressure washer. Anyone who thinks that’s 20 volt lithium ion battery is going to compete with a larger gas or AC electric pressure washer is not thinking realistically. I purchase this to do lighter pressure washing for pool and spa filters, clean the lanai and remove moss from in between pavers. I also wanted something that was easy to use and convenient. This washer has done everything I wanted it to do. I even saw someone complain that the wand was too long. Again I don’t get it. The length is perfect for removing the dirt and mold from pavers. I purchased an additional battery for longer jobs. I give it a full 5 stars. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Very good "power washer", definitely not a "pressure washer"
This is a review of a “power” washer, not a “pressure” washer. If you need a pressure washer, this is not for you, no need to read any further. As a 40+ year homeowner I have never had the need to buy a compressor and a pressure washer, but we have 100’ of Brazilian hardwood fence that needed cleaning before re-oiling. As a long time DeWalt user, I checked out their tools and found this power washer, read the reviews, watched the videos (which were very helpful), and decided that this probably had enough power for the job at hand. I just finished the job and I think this tool is exactly what I needed. Now is it too powerful? No, but I don’t see how a little more power would help. If you think you need “more power”, as Tim Allen used to say on Tool Time, then look elsewhere. The four tips that are included are basically two wider angle tips, which even set on high power, were kind of wimpy, and two other tips that I used. When I tried the 5-degree tip it seemed much stronger, but then when I put on the Turbo tip, that’s what I wound up using. It easily removed the dust and some of the oily stains from the wood, which was 95% good enough for me. I re-oiled the fence and it looks good as new. Pros 1. Not too heavy like some others have noted. It’s about as unwieldy as using a hedge trimmer if that helps You can reach out and use it one-handed for hard to get to places, for a short time. 2. I bought the whole kit so I now have a second charger and a fresh 5-amp battery. I have several lower amp batteries and they do not work, so be forewarned if that’s all you have. 3. Easy to use with a hose attached or using the light and flexible hose that you stick in a bucket. I used a 15-gallon tub when my hose wouldn’t reach the corners of my property, and it works fine. 4. I did not notice any overheating issues as others have noted, even though I probably ran it for the better part of an hour. I mean you’re in a spray of water as you use the tool, so I don’t know how it could really overheat. 5. When the battery was down to about 75-80% I noticed a drop in power, so then I would go to sections of the fence that didn’t need as much power until the battery really died, so you do get enough notice to move faster as needed. Cons 1. As noted in other reviews, the plastic quick release that comes with the tool would easily break if you were pulling a long length of hose. I purchased, online, a brass kit that included the two pieces I needed for less than $10 and I’m good to go. 2. It uses a lot of water, so be prepared to fill your bucket often if you’re not attached to a hose. 3. It sucks batteries dry quickly, within 10-15 minutes of use, so either move quickly or have extra batteries ready. That’s why I purchased a second charger, to keep two batteries topped off as much as possible 4. Not as powerful as a pressure washer, but good enough for removing loose dirt and debris. Could easily be used to clean windows, bird poop, bee poop, etc. off of most surfaces.

small but mighty
This is a fabulous little, portable power washer. A professional, high-powered machine, it is not ... but it does a great job on small projects and the fact that it has a battery pack and can be used away from power & water sources makes it a must-have.

Absolute junk
Bought it to wash cars and lawnmowers. This isn’t even good at doing that. VERY LOW power and it Runs through batteries like crazy and gets them so hot they won’t charge for 15-20 minutes. That will ruin batteries fast. On the 5th use, the hose got caught on a car tire and the plastic inlet broke. Knowing there was no hope in getting parts or warranty, I threw it in the garbage. Other than the battery and charger this product is absolute junk. My other DeWalt products have held up better so I hope this is just one bad product.

broken garden hose adapter, weaker pressure than I imagined, otherwise a good buy
Garden hose adapter broke very very easily. Going to see if I can get a new one and then next time use a much thinner hose in between my heavy garden hose and this sprayer. As far at the sprayer, I wish it had more pressure but from something this small, I guess I get what I paid for. It did the trick just took a while. Also, got same pressure regardless drawing from a bucket or with the attached garden hose.

Perfect for small jobs
This machine is perfect for cleaning my fourth floor condo balcony. It works great! I was hesitant to purchase based on some of the reviews, but I am 100% pleased with how it performs for the small job I need it for.

Read this review. I love this and why
Lots of people claim that this thing is junk. It's not a replacement for a gas pressure washer. I have that too... This is for light pressure washing of things like a car, atv, floor mat, boat, etc. I don't have a hose spigot on the front of my house so I use this by filling a 5 gallon bucket with warm water and rinsing my car off, cat box, floor mats and more. Its great and worth every penny and would be great to wash a boat or dock since you don't need power or a hose. Simply drop the suction hose in the lake. Thanks Dewalt

It seemed like a good idea, but underwhelming at best
I thought this would be nice for cleaning eaves around the house or cleaning of cars and boats without the hassle of setting up the gas powered pressure washer. It simply has not been useful or effective for that purpose. Between the lack of pressure and terrible hose inlet positioning, it's just not worth the time, money, or effort. The quick-connect is not the dry type, so don't pop it off under pressure! I will say that the black portion will hold a 9Ah flexvolt battery for anyone who may have a use for this thing... maybe it's good for someone working where only battery powered equipment could be used? Holding this thing overhead to clean eaves with a garden hose coming out at a 90 degree angle is inadvisable.

The power washer itself works great. The quick connectors on the other hand are really poor quality, in fact they would not work at all. The connectors don't seal and as soon as you charge the water hose the quick connectors 'quickly' pops off. The quick connector on the siphon hose was no different, can't suck water cause the connector doesn't seal, sucks air. Almost like DeWalt picked the cheapest possible quick connector provider without any kind of quality testing and put it in the box. The quality is so poor a small child could pull these apart. The solution was to go to hardware store and buy some good quality quick connects (cost me a whole 12 bucks). André

I bought the 20 Volt DeWalt pressure washer. I wish I could say it sucks, but I cant even get it brand new to inhale water from a five gallon jug. I guess it is sucking air, why cant DeWalt listen to commenters, I read the reviews I thought no, they must have fixed it by now, NOPE... I remember reading air being sucked into quick connect, trying to find solutions because I have seen videos on youtube with the washer working, many say it must be connected to garden hose to work and I bought it to wash vehicles and farm equipment radiators in the field where there is no garden hose. Trying to find a solution but have initiated return request... Sad because I had high hopes, maybe online videos are really hooked up to real pressure washers... sigh.Update: was approved for return by Amazon. Contacted seller if I would be charged return shipping, he said no and even offered to send refund if I provided return shipping code. Seller was very nice. I did more research, and I saw some solutions such as using brass garden hose quick connect right on power washer connection. That cost twenty three dollars and also did not work, so last resort, i screwed on a male garden hose quick connect, then bought a pressure washer hose with brass thread, and just slipped a short rubber hose over the threads of the hose connector and the male garden hose connector, two hose clamps, and that eliminated the air suction leak and the pressure washer then drew up water and I was able to wash my whole car, battery lasted through two full five gallon water jugs, so I am keeping it, cost $326 Canadian, not a bad price, $329 at Home Depot in Canada... and they are out of stock online and in store, unless you want tool only for $229... no charger, batt, soap, nozzles or hose, etc... UPDATE!... I WISH I WOULD HAVE RETURNED THIS POS. NEVER AGAIN. I PUT ON A HOSE DIRECT NO SCREEN NO COUPLER TAPED ALL CONNECTIONS AND STILL WONT SUCK. IT ONLY WORKED TWICE, NOW EVEN ALL NEW HOSE, CONNECTOR, TAPED UP NO AIR LEAKS AT ALL, IT WILL NOT SUCK WATER. IF SELLER WILL AGAIN OFFER ME RETURN I WILL TAKE THAT OFFER. I CANT BELIEVE DEWALT CAN STILL SELL THIS. THE PUMP PROBABLY ONLY WORKS WITH GARDEN HOSE AND AS SEEN ON YOU TUBE VIDEOS WILL WORK ONCE OR TWICE, BUT EVERYONE AT WORK LAUGHS AT ME TRYING TO GET THIS TO WORK. SELLER, MY THIRTY DAY WINDOW CLOSED MARCH 9, ONLY USED TWICE, WONT WORK. WOULD APPRECIATE RETURNING THIS.... SO UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED, THOUGHT IT WAS AIR LEAK... ITS JUST BUILT CHEAP AND WEAK. PERIOD. FINAL UPDATE, MARCH 29, 2025... OKAY, So here is my final update. The pressure washer pump and gun are fine. Not like a car wash, but almost enough to wash off sun dried salt on your car. You will need a brush to do the last 5%. The three spray nozzles are just weak but the turbo seems to do best. So here is my experience. I read reviews, saw the air suction problem, so bought brass garden hose coupler, screwed that on gun and onto six feet of garden hose. Would not suck. Went to original plastic hose that came with gun, that worked twice, then would not draw, saw air going through screen into pump gun through the plastic filter so then I bought smaller pressure rubber hose, thought garden hose too big for suction, but the smaller size hose would not draw either, even with direct to gun taped fittings. DEPRESSING. So, back to DeWalt cheap hose and filters that came with it, and this is what you can do if your pump is not sucking water from a pail. Take a roll of black electrical tape and tape the filter to the hose, about five inches to make it airtight, it may take a third of a roll of black electrical tape, and in future I will just silicone every crack and joint of that original filter and coupler to the hose that came with it cuz I did that this morning after it snowed and melted again late march in Alberta Edmonton, and the gun worked perfect, like the first two times before the coupler began to fail and let in air... Bottom line, pump works, it is the coupler that allows air to leak in. Just look if bubbles going through the filter that is screwed on the gun end of the hose... I took a pic, it is on my phone, and I am on my computer right now... Nothing wrong with the washer, but I wish I got the stronger one, but this is fine if you dont let the spray and mud dry...
