3 mm 1/8"x 12"x 18" Russian Birch Plywood B/BB Grade 6 Flat Sheets

I used my 100W laser cutter to engrave and cut some simple designs on this wood. It was acceptable, but not great. The wood got really brown, almost black, inside the engravings and on the cut edges, and the cut edges maintained a sticky residue, I’m guessing from whatever glue was used to manufacture the sheets. It wasn’t terrible, and maybe I could have done better if I put some more time into tweaking my settings…but next time I’ll pay a little more for better quality.

Inside the package, bound by plastic all looked good, but after unwrapping it, you can see that some pieces are warped/bowed. So much so, that I had to weigh parts down while using it in my laser engraver in order to keep it flat. Still, it is usable.

Working well for the glowforge. I cut it on the medium setting for basswood I believe.

Nice clear wood for cutting and burning designs. A little pricey.

These boards are exactly what I was looking for and they arrived very quickly after placing my order. The only issue I have is that all of the boards are warped. I'm not sure if that is because of the board or the packaging. I'm still going to find ways to use them though. I would buy them again :o)
