Twisted Thick Cotton Rope

Very nice rope. Does the job as advertised.

I am using this product on an outdoor project. I really like it. It is very soft, strong, easy on the hands, and looks great. After installing, I am a little concerned about the potential for rain water to discolor the cotton rope to an unpleasant color. I will try to update this review in a few months. Currently, I am very satisfied.

But the rope worked beautifully for the bridge.

I bought this to use as a lead rope for halter. If you’re starting horses this will get you by but there is better out there. The fibers are soft and loose. Wetting the rope will make it stronger if needed. My colt broke a 5/8s cotton rope and this one is holding up fine for now. Forget it if the colt breaks halters, this rope wouldn’t last.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Never removed from the packaging and it just took one look that this rope was completely unsuitable and not as described. This is NOT an outdoor product but more suitable for an indoor middle school gym. Thus, I then ordered not ONE but TWO 100-foot spools of proper outdoor hemp rope. My order was never removed from the packaging and I ended up ordering 4 times the quantity of a better quality rope. I am AMAZON PRIME and rarely RETURN anything yet AMAZON will NOT honor a RETURN even though the product was never removed from the packaging.

This rope was perfect for its intended use. I ordered 250 foot rolls. Unfortunately one of the walls was not quite 50 feet. Because I was using it as a demonstration it wasn’t necessary for me to have before 50 feet. I did not have time to send it back to receive the correct 50 feet. Other than that the rope is excellent.

Product is well made, but the twist is so loose that's it's more like a 1/2 inch diameter when pulled taught. Not appropriate for the use I purchased for, but others might be able to use it as is.
