Reading this books feels like you was there at the beginning of Elizabeth & Philips romance & weddingI want to believe every word of this romanceWe are told of Philips jokes & inappropriate questions & answers instead of telling of the man who gave up so much to be the queens right hand manThey have been together 73 years & like all couples they have had ups & downsI like a book that tells me something I did not knowA good read

Bought this book as needed something to read in lockdown, and with being a fan of the Crown, I thought I would give it a go! I haven’t been able to put this book down! Once you get reading, you don’t want to put it down. It’s one of those books where you just want to know what happens next. Really recommend it, to anyone who loves the Crown!

Can't fault Flora's writing of the imagined relationship between Princess Elizabeth and Philip, she gets the dynamics of coming together and building a life, but without any of the faux romanticism aimed by the popular rags of the time. Totally Recommend.
