Highly effective, quality skin lotion with lasting and noticeable results.There are a lot of beauty products out there with empty promises and high price points designed to trick you into thinking you're getting quality skin care, but this is one product that is worthy of commanding its high price. As another reviewer stated, this product actually has a patent on it, however I was unable to find any information regarding the proof of claims or that skin care would be considered a medical patent so I was unable to confirm that information. What I did find was that Jan Marini has several patents on their products and appears to be a skin care firm focused on creating products based in legitimate scientific research rather than randomized ingredient trial and error. I liked that.I ordered this because I have sun damage on my face that I'm beginning to suspect may just be too deep to repair. I've fastidiously used dermarollers, retinols, repairing serums, vitamin C, peptides, peels, and a thousand other things in a desperate attempt to rid myself of these 10 unsightly dark spots, which I believe to be the Grande Royale of skin problems: layered damage caused by both acne scarring and entirely too much sunbathing. Over the past year with intensive treatment, I've seen these spots lift maybe a few shades. Nothing dramatic. And in that time, I've noticed my eyes have begun to age, the skin papering around areas where before it was supple. Sigh.This is one of the only face products I've felt like not only lifted my scars a few shades on its own, without needing help from other products - but also it did a far better job of working some of the elasticity back into my eye area than ANY of my other products have, including eye creams. Including $100+ eye creams. Including deep treatments. It just works extremely well. I wish I'd taken a photo of the scarring at the beginning of treatment because of course while it is not erased completely, it has faded enough to make me feel that this cream does have an efficacy to it. This treatment DOES work.Now, you don't get a ton in the bottle. But you don't really need tons - a little goes on easily and spreads well, so you won't need to cake it on, and at this price I appreciate that. I rotate this with a few other products because I'm cheap and I want to stretch this wonderful cream as long as possible, but I feel like getting a month out of it with every day use (even including some around the eye area) is totally feasible. The best thing about this cream to me though is the relatively weightless texture. Despite having some heavy hitting moisturizers and providing some real results, this is a product that's fully capable of being worn during the day without weighing my face down. Impressive.I'm overall extremely pleased with this cream and would absolutely recommend it to others. It's pricey, but worth the spend, and you're getting real results in a jar. Five stars easily.

This was recommended to me by an aesthetician, I didn’t see much of a difference in my skin when using it. It was supposed to lighten up my dark spots, which I didn’t see do much of that. And for the price you’re paying I would think it would take back time a few years on my face. Not something I would recommend.

This arrives in a nice little box. Ideally, it would be sealed in plastic or have protective seals over the openings of the box. As an alternative, it would also be fine if the box were not sealed, but the product had a protective collar that needed to be pealed away. This helps the consumer to know that the product is pristine.Now, this emerges as an ivory, opaque cream. It distributes over skin quickly and effortlessly. And, it turns clear very rapidly. I also really like that it dries-down and leaves only touchable, soft skin. Nice!There is a very mild scent. It does not seem as much a like "fragrance" (like something citrus or floral), but maybe something a little medicinal. It is very, very faint though.Having used this for several nights in a row, I can already see that it does have a degree of efficacy. My skin truly looks brighter! That's a really lovely benefit.Now, when you wash in the morning, be sure to follow-up with a nice moisturizer. I think that if you keep up this regimen, you will see lovely, glowing skin.A good product! Recommended!

The Jan Marini Skin Research Luminate Face Lotion comes in a classy, easy-to-use pump bottle. You only need one squirt of the creamy lotion to cover the whole face. I really like the texture. It goes on easily and absorbs quickly. This is an evening cream (when first using it), so I put it on before bed and cleanse my face in the morning.So far, it has made my skin tones appear more even. My face looks and feels smoother and more hydrated. I try to apply this as directed, every other evening at first until the skin builds up a tolerance for more frequent use. So far, there has been no irritation. It contains retinol which can irritate skin if used too much.The Jan Marini Luminate Lotion is quite expensive. But like I said, a little goes a long way. If you're looking for a product that evens skin tones while moisturizing and minimizing wrinkles, this might be for you.Made in the USA~ Kort

I was a little worried to use a product with retinol so I took my time and slowly increased the amount used. I still only use it once a day, during the night before bed. I also make sure to have sunscreen on my face if I do go out during the day, and mostly try to stay in the shade whenever possible. I’m new to retinol so I didn’t want to take any chances with skin sensitivity. Luckily, I never had any irritation or reaction to it. I’ve been using this for almost 2 months now. I use this as a prevention for my skin and so far it is great. There is no heavy perfume or scent in this product, which I really appreciate. The consistency makes it very easy to apply all over the face and my skin absorbs it pretty quickly. It didn’t leave any uncomfortable feeling such as tingling, itching, greasy, or sticky. I don’t have any specific sun spots to target so I don’t know if it is minimizing any discoloration, but my skin looks great from the 2 months of usage. I’ve seen this brand around for ages but never got the chance to try it until now. After trying this face lotion, I would love to explore more of their other products, perhaps something without retinol.
