I have an old dustbin that lost its lid and I wanted to collect rainwater in it. The lid fits but is a few mm too big so it's quite loose, but better being loose than too small. It's very lightweight and my dustbin doesn't have clips for the lid.It would be nice if the handle was a cut out and not a solid block, because then something could be tied to it to give it a bit of weight. I'm thinking maybe stick something with some weight on with some gorilla tape, or self adhesive hooks on the bin and a slack bungee cord might stop it getting blown off in the wind.

This was fine and fit my bin well and I was quite happy with it...until the first sign of win when it below clean off and into the road getting damaged. Such a shame it wasn't better fitting.

Very good solid built. Just make sure you allow a bit of leeway. My bin should have been perfect for this diameter lid but it barely fits. In my case I always leave a weight on that lid because of seaside winds so I'll live with it but it's not ideal. Other than that it's a good product and value.
