I want to start this review with the fact that I dont like taking any type of medications. I even try not to take advil or tylenol when I probably should. The only thing I take are my vitamins every morning. Early on in life I was diagnosed with ADD and put on different medications. I didnt like how they made me feel so I took myself off of them. I definitely had a tough time being able to concentrate on certain things and I easily get distracted. Over the course of my life I fought a lot of those symptoms and overcame a lot of the effects of ADD. I noticed that one thing that I couldn't get rid of was a slight amount of frigidity behavior and discomfort in certain situations. Even though I dont have much stress in my life I found myself getting worked up over little things easily. My sister had suggested I take xanax or something like that to help with those things. I did some research and found that I might have an issue with anxiety type behavior. One day at CVS I saw a bottle of Sensoril at the end of one of the isles and picked it up. I figured what harm could something over the counter be. After a week of using the Sensoril, I noticed a calmness I havent seen before. I didnt worry so much about what was going on around me. My fidgety behavior also seemed to have dissipated. I felt pretty good. After my bottle ran out I found these here on Amazon. Im now on my third bottle and figured I would write a review for anyone else considering this stuff. Again, I am not a fan of medications so I was a little hesitant about taking something like this. I can honestly say that I feel less anxious about things(too many choices on a menu, flying, large groups of people) since taking these. I know it might not be a cure-all or as potent as prescription medications, but I havent seen any side effects which is important to me. I plan to keep on using these as long as I feel like a better person with them.

I take four of these a day: morning, noon, evening, bedtime. It was effective from day one and I have been taking it for 10 weeks and it is still performing. If I miss one, I start to feel it. I was advised by my doctor to take an adaptogen after my last blood test showed my TSH to be 3.3 which is considered in the normal range by some but in the opinion of my wellness doctor, whose clinic is pretty cutting edge, ideally a woman should be under 2.0 and a man should be under 1.5. This is just her opinion and my own reading on the subject supports that. Not to be taken as fact. In any case, an adaptogen is supposed to help the body physically cope with stress - and this brand of ashwagandha is doing that beautifully for me. The stressors that in the past used to "get to me" no longer elicit the same kind of emotional or physical disturbance. I have a sense of calmness that allows me to be more effective at problem solving and more pleasant while I do it. I am also sleeping better. I have made some other changes to my lifestyle that undoubtedly contribute to better sleep, but I think the contribution the ashwagandha is making is that when I do wake up in the middle of the night, I no longer start stressing about the length of my never-completed "to do" list. Instead, I feel calm and fall back to sleep much quicker. I chose the Sensoril over the KSM-66 formula due to the Sensoril's ability to encourage restful sleep. I highly recommend this.

I think this stuff is good? It makes me tired though so I didn’t end up using it as much as regular ashwagandha. This means that’s it’s probably better for relaxation/anti-anxiety purposes, but I think for me I’d rather just have ashwa I can take at any time and get the overall more subtle health benefits. Probably will just continue to buy regular ashwagandha capsules.
