Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Brilliant! Must have book. Very informative and helpful. - I have M.E. and Rheumatoid Arthritis and have long been aware that a healthier diet might help inflammatory conditions and I used to drink green tea by the bucket load which had benefits, but I became complacent with my food choices and ate everything. After a recent major flare up with swelling, stiffness and lots of pain, out of desperation I was looking for guidance and I bought this book on Kindle just to see if it was any good but it is SO good I bought it twice!! The print version is so useful to have to hand to refer to and flick through over and over again. There is so much great information that you want/need to know, without having to wade through a lot of stuff. Although detailed, it is straight to the point, accessible and written in such a nice down to earth way, it's a pleasure to read. I have really appreciated all of the detailed info. which has clearly been so thoroughly researched by Emily. Making dietary/lifestyle changes can sometimes feel daunting but this book is great for making the first small steps, suggesting easy alternative foods to what you might usually eat, so you can start right off with making changes and then gradually become more savvy about the ingredients best to avoid in favour of more beneficial choices, even with shop bought items. I am looking at the ingredients labels on everything now! There are lots of lovely recipes, but I feel that you can take as much from this book as you want to, or are ready to, at your own pace. If you feel ill and in pain, cooking from scratch is not always possible and you need something easy and quick to prepare, but this book has been invaluable to me for guidance and ideas about different foods/ingredients to try. I am actually enjoying my food more as I am trying new flavours and have opened my mind to new things that I didn't even know about. There are also tips about various therapies, supplements or means of pain management that may come in useful. I can feel physical improvements after about 5 or 6 weeks so I am definitely going to continue with my dietary changes . I would recommend this book to anyone really - whether you have a health condition or not - as it's so informative about the effects various foods/ingredients can have on the body, so it would be a good read for anyone. Thank you Emily! Review: Comprehensive, well-researched and inspiring - If you have just been diagnosed with an arthritic condition or wish to complement your treatment with home remedies, Johnson's book is a fabulous starting point! Her book is a comprehensive, well researched and inspiring guide book for natural aids to help you through your sleepless, painful and mentally exhausting journey. Her sources are sound, the list of recipes delicious (I have already tried a few) and it's great to have a book that I can leaf through and pick up for advice as and when I need it!

Nice recipes.
I have Osteoarthritis and pretty much housebound, so I thought I'd read this. From what I have read it's very informative, but got somewhat depressed as some of the things I cannot do. The only thing that will sort me out is surgery. The recipes are nice, I've tried a few.

Highly recommend
This book is so well written with easy to follow recipes, and interesting information about living well with arthritis. What stands out to me in comparison to other arthritis lifestyle books is that you can tell this is written for people with arthritis by someone with arthritis and is therefore practical and not condescending. I really highly recommend it. Some of my favourite recipes are: 'Bright Blueberry Muffins' pg145, 'BBQ Sticky Rice' pg128, 'Ginger Kick' pg156, and 'Courgette and Carrot Fritters' pg106. I have made all of these multiple times and they are delicious and have gone down well with friends and family members who have tried them.

No jargon, just great advice
This book has been the single best resource I’ve laid my hands on since my diagnosis. Emily @arthritisfoodie has taken contributions from many experts, leading doctors and researchers, but presents the information in a way that is really easy to understand and makes complete sense 🙏 If you suffer from any kind of inflammatory arthritis (or even osteoarthritis), I can’t recommend this book highly enough. Don’t suffer with arthritis, live with it. You might just find, like me, that following the advice in this book has a positive on other elements of your health too. Thank you Emily, I can’t wait for your next book!

only good if happy to eat the products
I should have returned this, nothing in it looks very nice, the idea is good but I'm not likely to eat anything as it's not what I would normally buy or eat. will have to wait until my arthritis gets a lot worse to be desperate enough to eat anything in the book

A fantastic companion to my Arthritis journey
I own this book in paperback, kindle and audio book format so I have it with me wherever I go. As someone who was diagnosed with Rheumatiod arthritis at a young age I was getting fed up of the 'you are too young' comments. This book has helped me no end, it has helped me accept that arthritis is a part of me, to understand what external factors may effect my condition for good or bad, but has also given me the confidence to speak about it to others and to listen to what my body is telling me rather than pushing myself to do everything to appear 'normal'. I am now confident to say no when pain or fatigue is building, rather than pushing myself and burning out. Thank you so much for this book and also for the wonderfully supportive Arthritis Foodie family you have created on social media.

A brilliant tool for navigating diagnosis
This book is such a great read if you've recently been diagnosed with arthritis and are working out what to do. I've got AS which is something you don't typically see much information about unless you're really looking for it. To see AS listed throughout the book as highly as other forms of arthritis like RA & OA was really validating. There are so many tips to try and implement into your life to help you work with your body rather than against it. I can't wait to try some of the recipes and chat with my rheumatologist about the things I've learnt after reading this!

Excellent book. It’s the perfect reference book. I can’t imagine what life would have been like if it had been available when I was first diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

No new info, basic things your doctor tells you.

I found this book just few days after my diagnosis and it was comforting to read. It made me feel less alone. And I like her approach of medicine AND food/lifestyle/exercise. I am curious to try the recepies, but in general I can already say I found this very valuable.
