Strangely difficult to find in my local grocery store, where I have been buying it for years, I found these for sale. I'll keep looking locally as the price is always better, but these helped in a pinch.The three packages arrived in a little pouch. If you buying this for the first time, don't expect it to be as good as homemade. That is, unless you grew up in the same house I did. Homemade in our house was a loose term and prepackaged foods defined my childhood in the 1970s. If you've had this before, it's exactly what you think it is.For each batch, you need a pound of ground beef, a way to drain the excess fat, and tomato paste. Water too. I mention the tomato paste specifically because it turned out even though I know better, I didn't have any. Thankfully some neighbors came to the rescue. So plan ahead and have the phone numbers of your neighbors handy.Incidentally, I just used Texas Toast for bread as opposed to a hamburger bun. I toasted it and sliced it up.Anthony Trendl

This makes preparing sloppy joes very easy but I still prefer the cans but this is just preference I am sure. This was a great value and I just opened the package and dumped it in!
