Ryka Women's, Devotion Plus 3 Walking Shoe

(Wife purchased these and authored this review.) I was hesitant to make this purchase due to the price and being unfamiliar with the brand, but very desperate to find a pair of sneakers that properly fit and were attractive as well, so I rolled the dice and I am so glad that I did! I have extremely high arches as well as plantar fasciitis so finding a comfortable shoe is quite challenging. These sneakers are extremely comfortable and supportive and they do not look like orthopedic shoes which is a huge bonus! The color can appear like a light purple/lavender color but then can appear more grayish sliver (no sparkly though) depending upon the light. I love purple so I am perfectly fine with the color. My feet are not wide; however, bunions are an issue so often times I need to buy wide width to compensate. I did not have to do that with the shoes because there is plenty of room throughout the toebox. Extremely happy with this purchase. I only wish this style came as a slip on or with bungee laces instead of tie up. If you are on the fence about making this purchase, I recommend to just go for it! You can always return them if they do not work for you. I will definitely be purchasing more of this brand in the future!

This is my third pair of Ryka shoes I have purchased. The first two pairs held up well with heavy everyday use as I rarely wear any other shoes. I have always had trouble finding comfortable shoes and I think that is partly due to my high arches. I bought my first Ryka shoes after doing research online for the best athletic shoes for high arches. I love that they are made by and for women and when purchasing my second pair are did have some concern with the quality since some reviewers said that the quality and fit had decreased with Ryka shoes. Some reviewers even said that they thought they were not authentic on Amazon. I am glad that I still purchased them and didn’t allow those reviewers to influence my decision to still get them. The first two pair worked great to wear while having lumbar disk back issues and a total knee replacement. I appreciated the stability and how they did not aggravate my conditions. These third ones I purchased have all the same benefits as the first pairs I purchased and more. The first two were comfortable but these new ones are ultra comfortable but still light and perfect to use for my new diagnoses of psoriatic arthritis. With this new condition I have frequent pain, swelling, and nerve issues in my feet and these shoes help with all of that. I highly recommend these shoes to consumers who have high arches and/or the conditions mentioned in this review.

Tried 3 styles of Mizuno's and other brands. These Rykas felt and fit the best - that is, AFTER I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear in sneakers. In my regular size 6.5, my toes got squished up front and the entire shoe felt tight. The size 7 is comfortable, except for one Big issue. Although fine for just short walks from here to there, exercise was painful. I fast-walk on a treadmill at least 3.5 miles every other day, and the first time I wore these sneakers I developed a pain in the bottom of my left foot that did not go away for 2 days. I realized that while the 1/2 size larger shoe fit, the arch support was no longer situated in the correct place for my feet. I swapped out the insoles for ones I found for work/sports in a drug store. Now my arches are happy again, and there’s no more pain. If the sizing had been accurate, it would have been 5 stars. UPDATE 6-7-23: As I have gotten more fit, I now exercising more. I walk ~6 miles 3-4 a week at a top speed of 3.9mph on my treadmill. Last week I noticed that the soles of these sneakers are beginning to wear through in the same spot of both shoes. I’ve never done this much walking/cardio in my life, but I guess I should have expected the wear and tear. I wanted to buy another pair before these wear out completely. I wanted another pair of the Devo Plus 2 in the same color (or another I like) but Ryka's stopped making this style. I ended up buying the Devotion Plus 3. They are visually very similar with some changes, and there are upgrades to the design (the tongue stabilizer is in a better place, etc.), but they are Still 1/2 size Too Small. At least the company is consistent - I expect them to be just as comfortable too.

I really like these sneakers a lot, and this is my 4th pair of Ryka sneakers. I love the color of the stripes and details, and how the color shifts from blue to purple in the light. Pros: They wear comfortably all day and have great arch support. I have plantar fasciitis, and these shoes help keep it from getting inflamed, even after prolonged walking or standing. They are well made, and even after wearing them daily for the last few months, they still look practically new, and the colors have not faded at all. Cons: This style of shoe is that it is not waterproof at all, and the shoe will fill with water if you step in a puddle on a rainy day. They did dry out rather quickly, though! This shoe also runs slightly short. I normally wear a 7 1/2 but go to a size 8 in Ryka to keep my toes from hitting the inside front end of the shoe. Overall, I will continue to purchase Ryka sneakers, as the value is great, and the quality is excellent.

Got these when I was 6 months post op from a broken ankle. Had to go back to physical therapy for a 3rd round and was told to invest in better shoes. I got a pair of these and also a different brand, to compare. These are amazingly comfortable, even with my fallen arch! They provide just enough support in the arch that they don't cause pain, and also reduced the pain I was already having from lack of arch support. They sit low enough on the sides that my hardware doesn't rub (which is now the number one thing I look for in a shoe). My only complaint is that I wish the bottom was a tiny but more rigid, and provided a bit more of a rocker motion to help propel your step forward. Not a deal breaker for me as I'm supposed to be forcing my range of motion anyway. All around, great shoe. I normally wear an 8 and I ordered an 8W to account for swelling. They fit great on both feet!

I used this pair to walk and jog and they were the best ! I have very high arches and these shoes didnt give me any foot issues after using them at least once a week for months! I could use them on wet paths and they are quite water resistant.

Love these trainers - super comfy, second time I’ve bought them for a charity hike over the last few years and no breaking in put them on and walk 13 miles straight off

I love Ryka shoes. I bought my first pair 5 years ago and have now had 4 pair. Not because they have worn out but because of all the great colours they come in. They are the most comfortable walking shoe I have ever worn. They are light, sturdy and also accommodate my orthotics well.

Bought these when in the USA. As I know my size lucky me … I get them from amazon shipped to Australia. 👏🏻

Viele Jahre waren Schuhe dieser Marke meine absoluten Lieblingsschuhe. Nach wie vor haben sie für mich die beste Passform. Aber das Material scheint dünner und damit instabiler geworden zu sein. Dadurch haben sie diese unschlagbare Passform leider nicht mehr.
