Mike Meyers is the best. Scott seems pretty good, too. Great info and great layout for learning. Beats CompTIA at their own delivery of content.

A good suplement for other materials. I would argue that it teaches the material better and is far better written than the Comptia junk... but this alone is NOT going to get you through the test. COMPIA tests are garbage sauce designed to force you to buy their produts. It's a fantastic scam. To pass you will need their horrible books, sadly.

The media could not be loaded.  Mike Meyers Security +. Is a very good study tool for helping you pass the Security+ test. The way he explains everything needed to know for the exam is great. Because he breaks everything down to a better understanding for people who have trouble understanding the material. It’s a great study tool!

It teaches the principals very well and is extremely well written. It however is not in depth enough to actually use solely for testing purposes.Read this if you start from absolutely nowhere with cybersecurity and it will give you a great foundation of the concepts. Don't expect this to be your only material to pass the Security+ Exam.I read the Darril Gibson book after this one and it is much more in depth and touches on the exam questions specifically and not just as a general overview of the objectives.This book did allow me to be able to absorb the finer details that are presented in the Gibson book very easily. I will give it that but I probably could have just skipped this book entirely. I wasn't in a hurry to take the exam so I finished this book and planned to continue to study. I filled in the gaps with numerous practice tests and the other book.

Mike Meyers is the exact book I required to pass the Comptia Security + Cert.

The book feels cheap and the answers for the quizzes are short with no explanation. Don’t waste your time with this book

Utilizei os livros do autor para os exames A+ e Network+. Excelentes. Porém, esse livro preparatório para o Security+ não é nem de longe do mesmo nível dos outros. Se alguém escreve um livro PARA UM EXAME o objetivo do livro deveria ser justamente mostrar quais pontos são relevantes para o exame. Entretanto, neste livro as informações são simplesmente jogadas, inclusive com pontos do tipo "isso não cai no exame". Ora, se não cai no exame por que o título do livro leva o nome do exame? Impossível saber o que é ou não é importante para fazer a prova. Infelizmente eu tive que procurar outras fontes para melhor entendimento. Decepção.

Comprei o livro pelo nome do Mike Meyer, que é um excelente instrutor. Sabe tudo do mundo da computação.Porém, é claro que ele apenas emprestou o nome ao livro porque é uma obra muito enrolada, fica evidente que o escritor não conhece o assunto sobre o qual está escrevendo.Não é bom para quem deseja aprender.
