UPDATED - I Stand CORRECTED.
I STAND CORRECTED & CHAGRINNED!!Update: Feb 16, 2024 -I LOVE these socks!!! I have a great pair of Land's End sheepskin slippers I hardly wear anymore because of these socks!! These are my go-to, weekend socks; winter sleep-in socks; had-a-bad-day-and-need-a-cuddle socks! They've changed the offering since I bought mine so I cannot attest to the ones displayed as of today. I bought a pack of 3 (two tan and one beige) in Fall '23. I wasn't sure about them being real wool but they way they hold warmth without making my feet sweat, I can't doubt it any longer. Even if they're a wool blend, they're the right blend because I usually can't wear those either. And BONUS - My cats don't run off with them like the do the other wool socks. :)People have complained that they fall apart after a few weeks. Not sure why because mine still look brand new. Maybe it's because I've treated them like other wool socks, even when I was skeptical that they're real wool:* Love them like slippers but don't treat them like slippers; change them daily* Hand washOR* Machine wash in cold water in lingerie bag (to avoid rubbing against other clothes in the wash)* Hang them to dry; do not put them in the dryerI have no doubt these socks will last for many years to come. In fact, I'm going to order that they are advertising today - the designs are even more colorful than those I purchased. I hope the quality is still as wonderful!Old Review:I have two cats that go absolutely nuts over anything wool or with a genuine wool blend. They "make biscuits", chew, suck and otherwise destroy anything with wool in it. They are worse about wool than catnip! So much so that we have to hide anything with wool: quilting mat, slippers, yarn, socks, etc. They don't even notice these sock exist, even when they sit next to them on the couch. While they are comfy right out of the package, I doubt they have the wool content advertised, especially with the reviews discussing how easily they pill and shed after a couple of washings as well as how they lose their cushioning.Having said that, I'll hand wash one pair and put the other in the laundry (cold wash, hang to dry) to see what that results are.Regardless, true Merino wool socks run between 20 - 40 USD / pair so, thus far, these seem worth the price point, especially since this particular type is very hard to find.

Love ❤️ my wool socks
Nice, thick wool socks. They keep my feet comfortable and warm. They fit just right, not baggy falling off or so tight they cut off circulation. The colors I ordered goes with my winter sweaters. Hand wash in cool water because they are wool. For the price of good wool you really can't beat. Well worth the money and will purchase again. Thank you

Cozy and warm
My feet are freezing cold at night, and I find I sleep better when they are encased intoasty warm socks. These Marino wool socks do the trick beautifully! They are well-made with a wide cuff that does not cut in to your legs. They are made with traditional colors and patterns. The Marino wool is soft and not the slightest bit itchy, leaving your toasty toes enveloped in luxury. They are quite thick, so if you wear them with boots rather than slippers, be sure that they have enough room or your feet might feel a little pinched.

Great for around the house, not for lots of walking
I bought these right before a trip to NYC. I wear a size 9 in shoes, and I bought the smaller size in these. They fit great, I’m glad I didn’t buy the larger size. They’re super soft, warm and cozy, and the height looks cute with ankle boots like Blundstones. I will say that I did not enjoy wearing these socks for the long days of walking around NYC. Without having any sort of compression, they ended up sliding around a bit and giving me some hot spots on my feet. I know it was the socks and not my boots, because I was wearing boots that I have climbed a mountain in without a single blister. Going forward, I’ll stick to my hiking socks like Smartwool for big walking days. But these socks have become my go-to socks for wearing around the house when I want to be cozy, and I’ll 100% recommend them for that purpose.

Cozy, cozy, cozy
Out of the bag, these socks feel spongy and springy when you pinch them. Heavenly soft. They are comfortably warm to wear, but not hot. I think the largest size runs a bit small, but not too small. I'm prone to swelling at the ankles, and I find the fit at the ankles to be just right, not too tight and not so lose that they look and/or feel stretched out. I wear these socks daily, like slippers. They get roomier after a day but not so roomy that they get floppy and become a tripping hazard. They maintain their shape well. I wear them in my apartment which has both hardwood and carpeted flooring. I do not feel like I slip and slide on the hardwood while wearing these socks, although I always try to be careful. The thickness makes my walking shoes a little less roomy, but I haven't experienced any discomfort. In fact, just the opposite. The cushiony feel is great. I have machine washed and dried them many times with no special care, and they come out just fine.

Thick, warm, soft and not tight around the ankle!
I love these socks!! They are thick, warm and soft, not scratchy. Most important to me is that they are not tight around my ankles. They are perfect! I wear a size 6-6 1/2 and the size 5-9 fit just perfectly. If I wore any bigger size (like an 8-9), I would consider the bigger size. I have been washing them in a small lingerie bag in cool water. I hang them to dry. I gave a pair to my daughter and I'm pretty sure she doesn't fuss with them when washing. She loves them too! I actually just ordered another set!!! Great to have during the winter in Michigan!

My favorite socks!
I’ve had these socks for a few months now and wanted to wait to review them because some reviews I saw before I bought them showed them torn up and said they didn’t last long. I have not had this experience. I love these socks! They’ve held up really well. They keep my feet so warm. I love the neutral colors, love that they are soft wool. They are easy to put on, have nice stretch but not too much. I have not experienced them retaining moisture but I’m pretty sure wool has a good reputation of drying quickly. They wash super well, I’ve put them in hot wash’s and dry them on normal. Would definitely buy more of these.
