Absolutely love this weighted blanket. So snug and cosy to end the day with...
The weighted blanket from “Sleep Mantra” is a full adult sized blanket that’s designed to be snug and relaxing in a soft and comfy embrace.I’d only recently heard about these weighted blankets. I wasn’t quite sure what they’d be like, but I thought I’d give one a go. How glad I was! They’re amazing for relaxing on the sofa with at the end of a long day. The weight they have snuggles you into the blanket with a cosy, warm embrace. I kid you not, they really are so relaxing to have on. Properly snug sensation and so very relaxing.I ordered the 6.8kg 122cm x 183cm one. It’s easily big enough for one adult, and possibly two if they snuggled up close. The weight isn’t too much on you. It’s enough to really feel cosy without any sort of claustrophobia or overly heavy sensation. The quality of the blanket is also top notch. All stitching is tight and secure, without any loose threads hanging off anywhere. The fabric used is also very soft and durable. The label says you can machine wash the blanket but I’d be apprehensive about doing that because of the weight. Personally, I’ll be hand washing it. Just in case.If you’ve not tried a weighted blanket out before then I highly recommend it. The kids and I absolutely love it. I can imagine in the winter months it’ll be a permanent feature on the sofa in the evenings. Not just for the added warmth but also that snug and cosy feeling.Really highly recommended.

Comforting weighted blanket
I've been having problems sleeping and picked this up on the suggestion of a friend who said that sleeping under a weighted blanket to reduce anxiety. I'll say from the outset, I was skeptical because it seemed a bit weird to me but with sleeping tablets not really making a difference, I figured I didn't have anything to lose. The blanket weighs 6.8kg, which is actually heavier than what I thought it would be - it does take a fair bit of heaving about so if nothing else, it doubles as a work out. The colour is a pleasant and practical shade of grey and it's a double size that fit perfectly on my double bed. The weight comes from the glass beads, which are stitched into the quilted squares. The distribution of the beads is actually very good - they don't bunch up in one corner and the stitching is perfectly fine - the one downside is that because they're glass beads, this isn't the easiest product to launder. You can only wash it on a cold wash and you can't tumble dry it, but have to dry it flat. The size of it means that finding space to lie it out could be tricky.I did find that my sleep improved when I used it - it's surprisingly comfortable to sleep beneath and the way the glass beads are distributed means that it's not too hot to sleep beneath. I actually think I could use this during the summer without being too uncomfortable. All in all, I thought it was a good product and would recommend it.

Not the size stated it's smaller
Nice blanket but it's not the size that's stated I'm 183cm and this is about 10cm short of that

Good breathability - Improves restlessness naturally - Well finished
Hey so I was incredibly eager to try this weighted blanket as I had heard so much positive feedback about how good these weighted blankets actually are. The first thing I thought when I received the blanket was just how heavy it felt weighing around 7 kg it really is very heavy and you certainly don’t expect the weight when you look at it. We are using it inside a duvet cover as it isn’t particularly easy to clean we are fortunate as we have a 12 kg load washer but even then it has to be on a gentle cold wash and we have it on the lowest speed spin dry at the end. Have the best way to dry it is to lay it out flat or lay it somewhere where air can get to it quickly. I simply got two folding airers and put it outside on a warmer day across the two so could get to all parts. In terms of sleeping I feel that the reason my sleep is better is I seem to hold my position in bed and move around less which I think is the reason I kept waking up previously. My partner didn’t like it at all at first so I only had it on me but she has grown to like it and could now understand the benefits and is also happy that it is really breathable.

6.8kg weighted blanket.
These are supposed to help with Fibromyalgia and daughters not over sure lol.It came in it's own zipped bag, but I'd never be able to pop the blanket back in lol, but it's a nice presentation. My daughter, as she opened the door for the delivery and brought it in, wasn't amused as she didn't expect the weight lol. so be warned you 'feel' all of the kg.She's popped it into a duvet cover, others suggested this, so it doesn't get dirty. Can't imagine trying to wash this without killing my washer. It's a nice grey colour and it feels weird with the moving glass beads inside it. It's also supposed to be a cooling blanket, my husband has scoffed at this, we'll see in Summer.I've seen others that cost nearly double of this one, perhaps more, so if this works she's in a Fibro group and they're awaiting a yes or no on these blankets.Again, it is HEAVY lol and she says it is lighter when over the bed lol. She says it is very different from her duvet, it seems to have helped somewhat as her sleep time has improved. We'll wait and see if it helps her Fibro. She also runs hot but hasn't overheated with this on.She has said I shouldn't try it as I've lung problems, boooo, she says it lays heavy on her chest, but doesn't bother her.Oh plus the dog approves and snuggles it lol.

Great for anxiety/helps sleep
This weighted blanket actually really helps, I've been on the fence about them for a while as they are so expensive, however it truly is a great investment for anyone with anxiety/autism etc, it's like a big hug, makes you feel safe and sleep well, I have put it in a duvet cover as it would be a wipe clean only really
