Lonely Planet Kauai (Travel Guide)

Great guides. I have all the islands. Very informative.

The Lonely Planet guidebook is the only one you will ever need. Much more detailed and informative than other books. Always includes a bit of history and other good to know information as well as all you need to know about the places you wish to visit. Even in this day of internet searches and GPS maps you should always have a guidebook for those out of the way "no service" locations. Better yet, turn off your phone, stash it in your suitcase, and take a real vacation with a quality guidebook in hand.

Really well written book covering this island in depth

This book has allowed us to do a lot of research on the things we want to do in Kauai on our trip next year!

Really great guidebook, especially for travelers that want to be active, adds the right amount of context and history. This is especially necessary for a place that is heavily impacted by tourism like Kauai. We used this way more than tripadvisor or yelp. Only drawback with this series is that it's difficult to cross reference the items in the maps to the detailed descriptions.

many of their favorite places to eat no longer exist. The cycle shop they recommend renting a bike from no longer rent bikes. shuttle info needs to be updated

Poor organization. Info not up to date. Worst guide book i have ever purchased for anywhere in world. Don’t waste your money.
